Ahoi!
Stiebler and h.sie have a U-Tanker Mod with which you can 'pseudo-dock' at a U-tanker mid-ocean without finishing your current patrol. In the readme file of this mod it says I can dock this way at surface supply ships too after adding a letter 'U' before their names in the campaign file e.g. "Belchen" into "U-Belchen. My question would be how can I carry it out, namely how to properly rename a unit in the campaign file? Thanks in advance!

I'd like a link to this mod, also, please. I would like to be able to stop off at supply ships without terminating the mission.

Besides the U-Tanker mod, it contains other very useful fixes, each of those is absolutely a must if you're into realism.

So you can simply search it for the occurances of the name, and edit whatever field that applies. You can't seem to change it with the mission editor.
In this example, atleast in the Merged campaign scripted-units file there are multiple places where Belchen is named. So you may need to be carefull which field and unit you change.
