Having got SH3 with GWX3 loaded and working on my new laptop with Windows 8.1, I am experiencing a problem with SH3 Commander. The screen on my new laptop is in wide format and when I start SH3 Commander the usual buttons to 'set options', 'rollback', 'start SH3' and 'exit' are all off the bottom of the screen! Is there a fix for this?

Just out of curiosity, where did you install SH3 Commander?

I created a new directory (or folder as they now prefer to call them) called Games and installed evreything to do with SH3 there. So SH3 commander is at: "C:\Games\SH3 Commander\SH3Cmdr.exe"

Did you change your textsize/font settings in Control Panel->Display higher than 100%?

Ooops! Guess I will just have to invest in stronger reading glasses!
I had set the text size to 125% !!!

Now back at 100% and all is fine . . .

Odd, I have Win7 and also DPI set to 125%. But it doesn't change SH3 Commander. What's your screen resolution?

Is this new Win 8.1 behaviour?

He found the answer and explained the problem up in post #5. :sunny:

Win 8 is not the problem, but some fixed settings in SH3 Commander and the Patrol Log Editor.

My setting is at 125% and the SH3 Commander works great at 1920x1080/Win7,

but the patrol log editor doesn't and I had to hack it to get the buttons visible.

Ok, then it is just the combination of having Win 8(.1), DPI setting higher than 100, and SH3 Commander/Patrol Log editor.

I knew the OP figured it out after Mittelwaechter's suggestion. I just wanted to know why it doesn't show up in my system. Which is apparently due to the lack of Win 8.
