View Full Version : Everything we have learned about Black holes is wrong
Who would have guess this

The true problem is, you thought everything you learned is right - is true.
And now you think the Hawk is right.
This is all theory - based on observation and mathematics.
And both is uncertain and a matter of change or definition.
I can observe the sun circling around the earth and I can define it to be possible to substract eight apples from four.
Everything we have learned about Black holes.....
Not much i suppose yet the stuff those guys come up with is fascinating.:o

"Hawking's new work is an attempt to solve what is known as the black-hole firewall paradox", ...My black hole paradox's are on a considerably more mundane level...but at least now I have a choice::yeah:...turned into a strand of spaghetti or fried to a crisp as my singularity approaches my event horizon:woot:on a ride turning at 1000 mph axis wise on a solar circumnavigation in excess of 30,000mph...what a ride!:o It is a privilege at least to get out of my chair from time to time...Hawking can't.
The only thing certain about the universe is uncertainty. :yep:

Ain't there a theory out there that disputes that?
:haha:

I'm not sure about that... :O:

So the original theory is disputed by the newer theory which is now disputed by this newest theory.
“The correct treatment,” Hawking says, “remains a mystery.”
In other words, "We don't know" :O:
I first read the article in a Danish newspaper, there was no link in the text, so I made a search for it and found it.
I have always learned that nothing escape not even light from a black hole. Now new theories by Hawkings rejects this theory as I understand it.

Well, as I understand what was said, the light can indeed escape the event horizon, but in the event it does it is apparently trapped by the apparent horizon.
I think.

I have my own theory.
Black Holes are the 'Anuses' of the Universe.
They are a one way passage intended to get rid of crap.
Should anything come back through them?
:o
:haha:
:03:
Theoretical physics is just that.
Intragalactic poo tubes. Whoda thunk?

Intragalactic poo tubes. Whoda thunk?
Privateer raises hand and waves it wildly about!
:D
My theory is based on a Twilight Zone episode.
The Universe is a living thing and we are mearly the microorganisms living inside.
We get ejected along with the waste we cause.
I'm expecting a Nobel Prize someday.
Why am I not surprised? :D

The only thing certain about the universe is uncertainty. :yep: The only thing certain is: it won't remain uncertain forever. I have faith that all is revealed ...up yonder...:D
Ain't there a theory out there that disputes that?:haha: NAH...just countervailing propositions: spaghettios or crispy critters!:timeout: Good god I'm jes' makin' ma' sef' hungry!

The light at the end of the black hole? Mebbe Da SASQUATCH KNOW! Hawking has actually revamped and reconsided his theory a few times: A Brief History of Time.(essentially space/time continuum for dummies)..and still hasn't got it. The hard part about Einstein's classic theory is the speed of light is slowing down...so much for E= mc sq'd...! Basically you're right, "the black hole ain't so black" (Chapt 7). The end of times: a; a big crunch singularity; or b; a local crunch singularity. I love options! Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy my 'psychological' arrow of time against the expanding universe's 'cosmological' arrow of time as my entropic singularity approaches (s*** happens) and focus on spheroid meatballs for that spaghetti option...:sunny:Hawking can actually outbabble me!:/\\!!

Because you had the Honor to meet a mind warped enuff to drive across America and meet you and Jim at an airport with near perfect timeing!
Let's see Mr. 'Smarty Pants Hawking' do that!
(Bet even he couldn't have stopped/predicted the Limo 'Event'! :har:)
What are you saying about black holes?

The light at the end of the black hole?..Hang on.. there's a theory that the 'sun don't shine there'..
It's all about creating the most outrageous and 'believable' story, getting paid vast sums of money and having a president of some sort, pin a 'noddy badge' on your chest for a lifetime achievement.
Meanwhile, all your other colleagues that didn't make it, have daggers (with your name on them) stuck in their backs.

Lol that event was generated by Jimbunas unpredictability field. A special part of quantum mechanics that none have ever started to understand.
Mr Hawkins can't drive at all let alone like a maniac Ohian.

I'm most likely breaking things.

:haha:
Think how much more efficient you could be at breaking things.
All you need is a frequency generator connected to a huge amp connected to a huge speaker and dial in the target's resonant frequency and POW! it breaks.
Just don't be in the building if you're aiming it at a support column.
Exactly what have we learned about black holes that isn't still theoretical?
It's not like we can travel to one and observe it.:hmmm:

I work for Mid-Ohio Flooring.
To my knowledge? It's the only operational Black Hole on Earth.
Information goes in and never comes out!
Imagine travelling from Ohio to California with no clue what's gonna happen when you get there!
:haha:
(That would by no means be the first time something like that happened to me! :o)
I'm getting the impression we will never find out the "hole" truth...
