Silly Newbie Question

I am totally new to SubSim but I love German WW2 U-Boats. I see mentioned of a game called Silent Hunter 5.Where can I obtain this game? Is it for purchase and where do I buy it? Do I have to have previous versions installed? I know these are a lot of silly questions to all you experts.But I have to start somewher! Cheers:arrgh!:

SH5 is a stand alone game in its own right,you can get it off the Ubisoft site or amazon,DVD and Digital versions are available,so you dont have to have any other stuff installed.

Retail is best IMHO. The Digital download if you must but burn it to a DVD. Simple for Steam.... NO. You will miss out on some good things using Steam's download.

When your new to a game, no question is stupid. You do not have the experience and you need answers.

Do not waste your money on steam as it will restrict your game play. Get a dvd. :subsim:
