View Full Version : Newbie reporting
Newbie here, and here are some info on me. I'm Italian and live in Italy, so English is not my mother rongue.
I played Gato (yes, I'm an old man), Silent Service 1, 688, Jane's 688i, Sub Command, Silent Hunter III (with Greywolves mega-mod) and Silent Hunter IV, all of them in single player mode.
I've been visiting Subsim on and off for a few years, and finally I decided to register for the forums
So, here I am.
Orso
P.S. My nick, Orso, means 'bear' in Italian. I collect bears and books on them, I'm tall, big, bearded, a bit lazy, with a sweet tooth, so I am somehow ursine; furthermore I love bears, bear is my totem and, if I had previous lives, in one of them I was definitely a bear.

hello guys/girls, excellent forum/resource/ppl you have here. I am old school gamer, 13 yrs x-military, and like motorcycles and pugs.
played games from my first 80/88 including many sub sims. my favorite so far is SH 3, I was hoping SH 5 would be better, but there are so many problems with the stock UI and crew management setup. SH 3 was so easy to run, imho. So I hope to find a good mod to incorporate the SH 3 UI/crew management so I will like this game. It looks like many ppl here have put a lot of time/sweat/work and smarts to make some great mods, just looking forward to finding and using them
ty for all your work.

I will post better in the correct threads, but, I cannot believe the incredible difference of 1 mod(multi). I was going to give up hope on SH5 after just buying it because I was disappointed in the failed UI.
well now the game is enjoyable and I am looking forward to tuning it with the huge choice of mods.
big Bravo Zulu`s to all the talent on this site, u saved my game
