I am starting patrol nr 4 with mission from North Western Approaches.And I got first small problem with TWOS.There is no information where is my patroling area ,only red X marked on the map.Should it be given grid 120 or 200 km on AN-XX ?I dont have any radio message with specified position also.Please advice.

Check your orders, click on your captain cap, you will see your designated patrol area, when you arrive at the right distance, then you'll receive your message with patrol time and distance

Ahhh...finally a new toy to play with!! Ladder pattern running torpedoes! Now I'm hanging out to get my hands on a radar unit! This is the first time since starting SH5 that I've finally got my hands on some new fangled thingy! So far on this patrol I haven't found a single ship to shoot but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :D

After feeling a major idiot for not realizing versions changed since I downloaded the latest update, I got it to work by running 5b. :oops:

I always update "midpatrol".
Just:
- disable all mods but basic TWOS in JSGME (leave activated just first mod - basic TWOS)
- quit JSGME
- replace folder "2 - *" in MODS dir by folder from last TWOS update zip
- activate new "2 - *" TWOS update in JSGME (its the folder from TWOS update)
- (now its better to restart JSGME as update could add some new mods into it)
- reactivate anything else what you had over it in JSGME in prior order
- play new update

BTW. JSGME does nothing else than copy contents from MODS/dirname/* into your SH5 root (MODS/..) with some background backup.
So when you disable some mod in JSGME, it removes its content from game root in reverse order and if it overwrited anything, it restores legacy files versions from its internal backup.

Hopefully it is alright to ask this here, since im using this mod, but i found a convoy, reported it, and bdu replied by asking me to wait for reinforcements, as this is the first time this has happened. I have no idea if its worth to shadow the convoy, until support actually arrives(dont know if it will) or just engage. Since this is the biggest convoy i have come across, i dont want to miss it, but then again wouldnt want to miss some early wolfpack fun .

Finally got total understanding of real navigation, and the torpedo firing :)

Yes, one or more submarines will be spawned in your area in several hours (up to 24h). However, don't expect too much help from them since their AI is rather dumb...:) They are good for escorts drawing off though, IF you stay close enough so that AI subs can spot the contacts when they arrive... :yep:

I had recently quite interesting daytime engagement against heavily defended British convoy with two AI subs during opening stages of invasion of Norway... Didn't score a hit but if those subs weren't there, I would probably lost my sub...:yep:

Pity that submarine's AI is so dumb. Someone should pass on them some good tutorial on plotting and manual targetting, and put gunners aboard them :D

I hope this is the appropriate place to ask, but is there any particular reason why the hulls of AI ships do not render from a far away distance? From about 8000 meters, this is what a destroyer looks like in the binocular view from my bridge. Is this a bug, or is that how a boat that far away would look?

I see the same thing - I believe it is simulating the curvature of the earth. Unfortunately the ship's wake is visible through the sea! And I don't know why the sea extends above the ship, I don't think that's on purpose. Perhaps, if there is a texture that is used for distant (past horizon distance for normal sub viewing height) wakes, it could be made transparent.

Hi all,

I did a fresh install of SH5 and then downloaded the mega mod and installed it all correctly etc. etc.

Whenever I boot the game there are always these boxes and I can't close them? does anyone know how to get rid of these or what is causing it?

Your problem points to the GPU or more likely Direct X.
Make sure you have Direct X installed from the game.
SH5 has to use the game version and not the latest Direct X version.

You probably already have a dx 9 or over so you should be good ..

Editeding this because i just scrolled down and saw Berbs Post about SH needing dx that comes with the game ..

Could go into the reasons why i thought different but suffice to say i am no expert on DX , i assumed that dx 10 would cover anything that used dx9 and so on ..
..
I think the older guys already know but you have to take most things i post with a grain of salt , I do mean well but i am frequently incorrect and in this case it could cost someone a bit of time .. apologies .. I do hope you get it worked out .

Because it seems that my submarine now all the sudden cant even pass 50 meters before its being crushed.

HI everyone. I have one question: Is it possible to refuel somwhere on the open sea by radio request? I am on mission near Cape Town, so i am running out of fuel...i calculated distance with apropriate speed, but its really tight, so i must go with gear 2 or 1 to make it, and at least i'm not sure will i make it...I started from St.Nazarie, refuel at Dakar but this will not be enough maybe. Is wolfs of steel adedd this posibility to refuel other way than only at ports? Thanks. ;)

Downloading a new Directx 9 worked for me, to get rid of those boxes.

You can download directx 9 from official microsoft support webpage. (Google Directx 9) Should come up. That solved that issue for me.

Hello to all fans of the game! Does anyone know of note! If possible, it is impossible if my editor Goblineditor indicate steps how to change the time recharge guns and anti-aircraft guns? Editor goblin I started, but there are many different options. For some reason I can not open files with the extension "sim". Someone changed the recharge time and it is in this editor is it done? Thank you in advance. Sincerely.

I am on first mission of Drumbeat. Can somebody tell me how to succesfuly resupply? I receiving coordinates with "x" on map, but when i come there, there is no resupply ship or u boat...I tried many times with resupply and everytime other position? Sorry for my bad english. Thank you...

Hi Peter. I did it, call for resupply, but when i came to position on the map "x", there is no ship...I tried so call resupply again, than on map shows up other "x" on other location, and when i came to this new location, there is no ship again...

I would expect the same GUI as when you approach to dock.

Germans resupplied their u-boats with "milchcow" u-boat - a big one full of supplies at drumbeat.
So dont expect ship so far away of Europe..

I dont know more because i never did this campaign yet..

OK, fair enough answer Palmic. I will try to make it... But the problem is that everytime i call for resupply they give me different position, in a radius about 600-1000 km, so with low fuel i'm quite limited...If anybody does this, i will be gratefull to share with me...Thank you

I want to first thank the players that gave me the English Voices so that I can get rid of the German ones that I don't understand, and still enjoy this mega mod.

However, I'm struggling with the labels in the Ship Systems UI.

Can we PLEASE have then English ones back - at least as an option?

I mean, I want the realism and added detail of this, but I'm not german, I'll never learn to read or speak or understand the language, and I know that we're playing as german players, but some appreciation that it is still a game and not a language course would be nice.

Anyway I can get these back to English? And anything else that's german for the sake of it?

You dont have to replace it by english, my german is same bad as yours, anything what anybody says is logged in ENGLISH into log in lower right corner or in global log - key: "Q"

I've the same problem...plus the crew speak in two language now...it's possible to set only english (or disable all german stuff?It's really difficulte for me understand something) After 10 minutes of combo crew german-eng I'm getting mad... :)

The TWoS mod is very stable and just about every problem that people encounter is due to not following the install instruction precisely. The tutorial cannot be started or played with any mods but it must be started to initiate the required files in the SH5 folder in My Documents which is where all future player and campaign info is stored. Once the tutorial has started and you exit out of the game, the CareerHistory.cfg in the My Documents SH5 folder can be modified to read: HasCompletedTutorial=true. This is when the Main.cfg file can also be modified as per the install instructions. Make sure that the Main TWoS mod is installed in the Silent Hunter 5 main directory...all other mods then are install in the MODS folder that is created when you activate JSGME.

This is also when you activate the Generic Patcher and install the provided snapshot. The TWoS mod relies on the correct application of the Generic Patcher to function correctly. THEBURBSTER tutorials has all the info on just about every SH5 subject so have a look through the material because it is an invaluable resource for everything SH5. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=211804

I will upload the English voices for you that you can install with JSGME when you have your TWoS install sorted and will add the link to this post when it has finished uploading. (128 MB) I will also give you a link to my version of the OFEV TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py which has the UI set up to mouse in/out (you'll have to change the U-boat Number and Captain's name) and also my version of the Generic Patcher snapshot which bypasses Uplay. Put them in the MODS folder and activate them with JSGME in the bunker before starting a new campaign if you want to try them. You will still have to use the Generic Patcher to activate the snapshot. Creating a shortcut on you desktop for the OFEV and Generic Patcher can make life easier. Also make sure that the required pathways to the requested files is correct for both of these applications.

If you install everything correctly, keyboard bindings are not a problem because everything you need to do can be accessed through the UI. If you own a microphone, Speech recognition adds a whole new dimension to the game and the only thing you need a keyboard for is to walk around. I use Speech Recognition_MiTons_NewUI_Editon_v0.4.1_english which can be found in the Subsim downloads section.

Here is post 6009 where Kevin gave me a file to give me about 95% English voices back. There are still odd ones in German but I obviously don't know what they're saying so I can't report on here to get the right fix.

Not a man but you're most welcome.

Just use jgme and that's it. They say German as soon as the son loads for some reason and then randomly but it's almost all English for the majority of the game.

As i upgraded radio catch skill of my radio officer nearly to max i have now a lot of radio convoy reports, but they are logged only to captain's log where i am not alerted, nor TC1..

None of the messages reported to standard log or bottom right box...

Wasn't gonna really report this as a bug as other people must not be having it occur. But the only time I have ever gotten a ctd is when I try to click on Captains Log. As a matter of fact every time I click on it my game freezes to the point I have to bring up task manager and end process.
My mods are listed below:

31 December 1939 attack a convoy near the coast of GB and from four steam torps, 2 was a dud ad 1 premature detonation. (distance 3200m).
I also have activated the preheat ability (2 points spent).

Now I have 6 points to spent and I want to know that it is safe to go on torp man ability further or not?

Also it is normal to have so many malfunction? What if I go closer and shoot from 700m? It reduced the chance of premature detonation at least?

I had premature detonations only when i used magnetic pistol in unclean weather.
Use impact one and you should be ok..

For dud torpedoes - yes i had more than half of my torps dud at first missions, quality will raise in time..

None at all.
I just spent my points to cooking quality, Bosun - standard morale and radio officer - ability to catch enemy convoy radio report.

But lastly i got hit European ocean liner by magnet bellow nose, she made it to the port (about 6h route).
I never saw anything like this, every hit was fatal in previous TWOS versions (i didn't like it).
So maybe preheating of torpedoes should be good decision..

EDIT: Fixed: Make sure to verify your path for your .py file. When you select Open...make sure the .py file is path to the SH5/data folder...not the SH5/MODs folder ....sometimes the wrong path is shown and is click bait



:hmmm: I think I did something wrong. No CTD or anything but nothing was changed.

So a couple of questions:

1. Do you have to uninstall anything thing via JSGME to get this to work. Meaning does WOS have to be uninstalled before using the OFVE before reinstalling it. (I think you don't get the OFVE in the SH5>data>applications folder without installing WOS1.06 first...so I don't know if this makes sense). Well you have to install the mod first to get the right .py file to modify it

2. When setting path...do I set it to A. SH5>data>menu>menu.txt or SH5>Mods>WOS1.06>data>menu>menu.txt SH5>data>menu>menu.txt

3. my .py file under SH5>data>scripts>menu didn't get modified but under SH5>mods>WOS1.06>data>scripts>menu it did. I think the wrong .py file got modified maybe? And if so..is there a "fix". Nothing in game seems different (but it still works)...so I guess i'm worried if I go back and use the OFVE on the correct .py file..I'll have two different modified .py files in different folders. And since it modified the MOD, I would have to overwrite the original .py file would I not? :doh: I just found the original .py file (from when I downloaded the MOD) and replace the one I accidentally modified...no problems occurred.

4. You don't need to be in port to use the OFVE right? This is correct...you can modify the .py at any time when out of the game...and you should see the changes when you load up next time

I sunk a 6000t liner with one preheated torp (the other was a dud...). It stroke the 1-rst third of the bow and it took couple of hours to sink.

This one had about 20kt, i cant remember, but its one of the biggest liners in game, i just met convoy of 5 of them moving from Norway to UK :)
- but had just 2 torpedoes, one in the front and one in the tail tube..

The nose of that ship was completely visually de(con)structed, ship was reasonably tilted to front after hour when i saw it for the last time.

I kept my game on without reloading for almost 20 hours, but no extra tonnage was added to my account..

Hi all!
It's just an idea but how about changing the old grandfather picture in the toilet? It's just a small modification for the "toilet.dds" file that I have already tried to do. You have to decide just what to put instead of Karl. Each suggestion is welcomed.
Of course only for TWOS 1.06.

Oct 1940, I know that you can sink the free french, but what about USA?

If you hit anything than enemy (ship of country with RED porst labels on map), you'll get CTD, sooner or later.
Dont bother with flags description, hostility of countries there is not exact.
Deal just with port labels.

I just tried to install the mod but I'm having a slight issue. Google turned up some results in this thread from version 1.01 back in 2014, but I didn't see any solution, just a bunch of arguing...

- User Charts is blank
- Identification book just says OK, can't select any types
- UI does not report depth, speed, or course, they just stay at 0. Also clicking depth or course does not change anything, unsure if clicking speed changes it. Keyboard controls for speed and rudder work.
- Steam version, Win10

Steps:

1. Deleted all savegames in-game so they don't come back, then uninstalled and removed all SH5 files from the machine.

2. Installed fresh copy from Steam

3. Copied \common\SH5 to \common\SH5 - WoS

4. Ran SH5, started campaign, deleted savegame, exited SH5

5. Edited \Documents\SH5\data\cfg\main.cfg and careerhistory.cfg as directed

6. Copied WoS 1.06 mod files to \SH5 - WoS, Copied 1.06 05c to \SH5 - WoS\MODS

7. Ran JSGME from \SH5 - WoS, enabled in this order:

1. WoS 1.06
2. WoS 1.06 05c
3. WoS Real Nav
4. WoS Encrypted

8. Followed steps here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2266214&postcount=161), renamed \SH5 - WoS\sh5.exe to sh5_steam.exe. Saved new sh5.exe from steps above as \SH5 - WoS\sh5.exe

9. Edited TDW patcher .cfg, replaced all paths with path to \SH5 - WoS

10. Ran TDW patcher, backed up, restored snapshot as directed.

11. Ran SH5 from \SH5 - WoS\sh5.exe, started campaign, saved, reloaded campaign. Noticed issue immediately after leaving bunker.

Hi guys,

The WoS megamod is superb and thanks to everyone envolved in the making of it, but I do have one question. It's not related to installation (that worked perfectly by following the steps provided) but to realism. In the options menu related to realism I have everything that makes life hard (real ;)) is on but the realism meter is 85%. I am thinking that may be because of a mod that gives you automatic ship identification which I remember reading about in the install guide, but I am not sure. So can anyone give me some pointers about this? And what about choosing Realistic for my campaign settings? Is that 100% or still 85 as this is the maximum achievable with that mod?

it seams you have external views on dont you? (that should be that -15% of realism i suppose...)

I dont really know if campaign realism preset changes anything from main options, i never played anything bellow 100% and i recommend you the same, as i dont want to play any other subsim without it (real navigation really rocks if you have all game remainings also at 100% realism).
There's nothing to be worried about for such old school Kaleun as you :Kaleun_Wink:

Oh yes sorry, i haven't noticed, W&S is nothing with wind and smoke in the game at all - its mod which makes you able to pick torpedo solution just by button as you could do it in vanilla SH5 :yep:

I not believe you can use steam key for other installation... but I ask.. sure is legal your sh5 by torrent???

I believe it is available for a certain amount of time, whether you complete it early or not. You can select another mission to complete even though BEC is still offered.

n1ete, i'm going to be a little bad but i have heard from the hell that someone said that not fully legal versions works with this mod, but the best you can do it's support, as i did, a game that needs a lot of mods to be a great game

TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py....... So when I edited this file...pointed it towards the WOS 1.06/Data/Scrpits/Menu. Should this "mod" the game over the SH3/data/scripts/Menu when I enable it?

Second question is since i did MOD the .py file under WOS 1.06 and not the main SH3/Data folder, can I just MOD that file and hope it works?

Or can I just drag an unmodded TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py file back to the game files to replace the MOdded file and just start over?

Anyone know the right answer without having to do a clean install?

I was just about to post the same thing yesterday, I thought I was missing the light grid and the speed conversion charts. Did you try scrolling down in the top user charts window? It isn't obvious you can scroll there but you can.

I'm reinstall direct x and gpu driver too, but unfortunately nothing change. Changing GPU settings how you posted, doesn't work, because a don't have these settings at my AMD control center. Maybe my graphic card is too old. I have HD 4670 512 MB

You really need the very minimum of a 1gb gpu and then you would need to use:

Ideally you need a minimum now of a 2gb GPU.
TWOS will not run with 512mb.
This is a large mega mod with over 100 mods and patches.
When SH5 came out the minimum requirement was 512mb.

This is a large mega mod with over 100 mods and patches.
When SH5 came out the minimum requirement was 512mb.

Enable the Wind & Smoke addon, then the XO will id the targets, be aware that the Wind & Smoke addon will lower the Realism rating.

Well I don't mind IDing the target myself....but I thought I'd be able to "select" the target from the XO Box or Rec Manual...vice just sending the Mast H to the TDC.

TWoS has Dynamic Environment mod inside. For me, the best available. If you use another environment, this could cause some problem in the combination of mods.
You can use some of the optionals of Dynamic Environment in TWoS: better visibility underwater, the optional winds mod (I use the Hurricane optional without problems), seafloor, plants, etc.

yeah this is were I'm at. No worries..just wanted to have it in the XO box.

Nope....used to get red boxes for single merchants and Convoys and diamonds for warships. They seem to be gone....so IDK?

Anyway to get rid of the instant sinking ship message? I mean I like the instant gratification of the message, but realistically I don't really want to know its sinking until it officially dips below the water! The Messages basically make it easy for me to forget about those ships and not have to "help them sink". I wish there was a time delay...like an hour before it would notify me that I sank a ship. :hmmm:

Hi guys,

I'm trying to map the key bindings to my Steam controller. So I have a couple of questions.

First, rudder midships (KP0 indicated by F1 guide) doesn't seem functional.
Second, how can I change the bindings so that each tap of left arrow moves the rudder left by an additional 5 degrees instead of just to absolute port 5 degrees.

Once I have this info I can set up the bindings so that the game is a lot easier to play with a gamepad. Cheers.

It will depend on what keyboard system you are using.
Rudder amidships on my system is the hash key.
Some keys always seem to work differently than the F1 keyboard layout even in the stock game.

The save is what I was trying to explain to you in the other thread.
This was appearing on the bridge in the bunker each time a New Campain Mission loaded during all the tests.

No it cannot be after the game loads.
Automatic game saves are timed at 25 minutes.

What you see has only happened since your test and Vecko's test 2.
This why TEST 19UGL was strange because it did not make the OC save and the campaign transfer failed, the only one to do so.
You can see in the picture that TEST 19UGL failed to produce the Autosave In Game save.
TEST 20UGL did produce the save and completed successfully.

Never I received a possitive message from the script ("transfer OK..."). The transfer works OK. But I have the MaMa fix 2.

Never I received a message in the trip from the script. Only in bunker, both CW and HT.

NEVER I received a different message with save/reload cycles.

Tomorrow I will test the new update 5f, but I think it is the same. Or did you change something in the OldCoder script, Vecko?

Save and reload the campaign.

In the bunker, 6-15-1940, Happy Times. The same message "negative", save and reload, go to boat, and the same message "negative" (but the transfer was OK). I save and reload in this position five times, ever the same message: (observe the date in the upper right, HT, 6-15-1940.

Started HT without problems.

Never I received a possitive message from the script ("transfer OK..."). The transfer works OK. But I have the MaMa fix 2.

Never I received a message in the trip from the script. Only in bunker, both CW and HT.

NEVER I received a different message with save/reload cycles.

Tomorrow I will test the new update 5f, but I think it is the same. Or did you change something in the OldCoder script, Vecko?

fitzcarraldo , please load sh5 to the main menu, then run dbgview and inside that press the filter button and type the two process ids separated by semicolon. Then load your campaign in sh5.

To find the two process ids run up windows task manager and it'll list the pid numbers. You're looking for the numbers of sh5 task and osi task. Example: 10123;6846

Then after the campaign load finishes you should see lots of text appearing in the dbgview window which can be saved to a file and uploaded for us to look at.

I suspect it is more that the MO that the script creates for testing is created too late and not passed off to osi for evaluation. Potentially the same for palmic who is saying similar I believe. This may be hardware dependant perhaps. But the dbgview logs may reveal the answer.

Not sure if the test MO can be created earlier. I did have a separate method that created the MO after the evaluation and which would be saved and only tested when the file was reloaded. But it was not as elegant as creating it on the fly during load.

We will see.

"problem detected" ask for new patrol 06/06/1940, "good order". start engines and transfer from CW to HT, 15/06/40 "good order"
A new test, load game near base 15/05/40, "problem detected" refit and would like to see the north sea, icebergs aren't merchants, problems with navigation map date, it doesn't update after 5 days, 01/06/40 CW disapears from navigation map, a little after transfer to HT, 15/06/40 now i'm in bunker, ask for patrol without save and reload, "problem detected", save at that time and reload, now "good order"
Load my 03/12/40 save and "good order" now test it, i let you know problems

Second test, same as previous:

SH5 (Gold DVD) started via Uplay with administrator rights, W7 compatibility on W10. Both SH5.exe and UPlay with W7 compatibility and administrator rights.
Disengaged Real Nav and Encrypted messages.
Playing with Wind and Smoke addon.
PC configured for MaMa Fix 2 (priority process).
Update 5f.

When I loaded the campaign, first time, first display, I had a possitive message from the script.

Save and reload.

Now, I received a negative message.

Save and reload.

Received a negative message. Save and reload five times on the boat, inside the bunker, all negative messages.

Start the trip to june 2 - 1940.

Transfer display appears.

Continue...

Continue...

I have HT access. Transfer successful

Save the game.

Exit the game.

Run the game.

Load the saved campaign.

Negative message from the script.

Save and reload.

Negative message from the script. Go to boat.

Save and reload.

Negative message for five times (save/reload cycle).

From the start, I´m on 6-15-1940. Happy Times start. Transfer was successful.

I did the log but I couldn´t save it. Dbgview go to CTD when saved the log. No log, then...Bad luck.

Tomorrow I will do another test. I hope I will obtain a log.

Scripts are the same both in 5e and 5f mate...You could upload dbgview log as well. Just to make sure, you are aware that OC scripts only read current state of your game and not actually causing any problems, right?
Try 05g and check changelog...

Why, you think something has changed in your game? That "error" is there since you started to play SH5 years ago. The only difference now is that OC script makes it visible ...

With 5f I had good transfers but wrong messages. Did you have bad transfers?

For testing I use the CW test campaign by Vecko. It starts May 31 1940 so a few days of pleasure trip and goes to transfer.

One note for Peter, one of the bugs with the script was that it could report failure when it should have reported success. This was due to animation stopped callback that I failed to cancel properly but should be fixed in 05g.

I would like to ask whether it is normal for me BDU does not reply to messages sent to the member or the state of the submarine. The previous version of this mode of communication while seamlessly work with this version so far nothing. Perhaps there is an error in my installation I do not know.
I also want to ask whether, if it was a big deal to equip the destroyer and side thrower depth charges. The game is so armed frigate.
And the last question is can somehow adjust water geyser after the explosion of depth charges? After all, this geyser in the current version is the weakest link in the graphic design of the game. Thanks for any reply and sorry for my English.

It will depend on what keyboard system you are using.
Rudder amidships on my system is the hash key.
Some keys always seem to work differently than the F1 keyboard layout even in the stock game.

Thanks, it turns out that Keypad 0 is rudder amidships but my numlock was off. Since I can't be hassled with that numlock on/off situation, I used the SH_Keymapper tool from the forum to remap a couple of keys from the keypad to the main keyboard. Problem solved!

Two test with update 5i:


In the two test, when starting the campaign from main menu, appears the negative message.

Save/reload and now appears the positive meesage (great!).

Change turm to VIIB, go to boat; appears possitive message on the boat in bunker (great!).

Transfers from CW to HT successful in both tests.

Now starting a third test, with dbgview active.

It seems there is a problem, now, when you start the campaign (selecting kaleun name, etc), and load the first display in the bunker.

I receive a possitive message from the script.

Navigation until June 3-1940. Transfer display appears. Transfer to HT OK.

Load the saved campaign (HT).

I receive a negative message from the script.

Save/reload

I receive a negative message from the script.

Start HT June 15-1940.

dbgview don´t want to save my logs (damn...), goes to CTD. Next test I copy/paste the log in a text file. Sorry for this.

Yes, it's my "fault"... I'm optimizing various TWoS files for potential campaign transfer issues. :yep: This is one of instructional campaign radio messages which will player receive when close to campaign chapter ending date...

I would look at it as a stamp of trust, that if the script reports "in good order" you know that the test objective it created live at the beginning of the session has been successfully marked complete by the SH5 campaign and that the campaign advance system (possibly even the tonnage bar/tonnage based missions if they were to be tested again for certain missions) would be predictable.

However, if the script reports "problem detected", the test objective either failed to create or failed to be marked complete. Both are possible, given that I've seen the campaign load fail in those ways, and IMO, the behaviour of that campaign session is unpredictable.

This is all assuming that testing concludes that my detection methods are correct (they may or may not be), and that I removed remaining bugs from the script (I may or may not have!). :) All things considered though, the detection is a useful indicator which, given a lack of a root cause fix to the SH5/OSI communication pipe, may be the only alternative available now.

I've installed WOS 1.06 and SH5 won't start. It's saying that the Missionterrain.dll is missing and to reinstall it. Where would I get it from... the WOS super mod or from a copy I have of the SH5 install?

One other question... will the Type IX boats show up ingame at a later campaign date. If not can the IX mod be added in after all of the other mods in WOS 1.6?

Now I´m testing Coastal Waters to Happy Times, ever with the CW campaign test by Vecko. I save and reload seven times the game in bunker, first display when game loads (not on boat), until I obtained in the bunker a possitive message. The previous six messages were all negatives. This means should we load and save the game until we have a possitive message for have some security - or all the security - for a succesful transfer? In previuos test I had negative messages and the transfers were successful.
Using Update 5i.

Such issue has never been reported. It's probably something related to your system and/or game installation...

There is no type IX in SH5. Maybe I'll add AI type IX in future updates...

This is not true at all, but anyway...

I am not "imposing" anything. I only use recommended settings as a starting point in the megamod (I had to start from somewhere, right? :hmm2:)

AFAIC, you can use any TC settings you want...

Note that in TWOS, TC settings can also be found in the appropriate section of OFEV too and not only in Main.cfg file...

The game always forces "calm weather" when you operate close to land. In open waters weather change will occur every 12-72 hours, depending of year period, your position in the world ect...Gamesave loading from main menu is usually followed by one initial "random" weather change.
And yes, weather changes could be sometimes a bit "glitchy".
If weather changes appears to you "stuck" despite all, usually one save/reload will solve the issue.

Just want to say the game has never been more stable than now. My latest playthrough I have had not one CTD.
I can play at max time compression even when sailing past Scapa :o, and close to ports, just everywhere. Big Kudos!:yep:

I know...In v1.6 I finally manged to isolate and solve perennial problems with imported dat objects which were (are) torturing SH5 modsoups for years...

Now, despite the fact that TWoS is the biggest and fattest mod in SH history, SH5 with it will be more stable that the stock game it self...:yep:
