Delving around pays off.....

Just had a lucky break ....

Tidying up and around the filing cabinet of doom (thats the one where you store/dump all your rainey day ' must get around to stuff '), and what did I find ??

Dead mouse - of the electronic kind,fortunatly.Various old soundcards misc obselete computor connections,leads and bits and then........

A pristine dvd of Silent Hunter 3 and berthed alongside it the Mediterranean expansion pack !!!

Whoop Whoop!! I must have bought them when they came out - its the starforce encoded version - and filed them away.

The old computor died a death not long after that and it took a lot of messing about to sort it out.

The games have been laid up ever since - joy !!

Just goes to show a wet Sunday chore can somtimes pay off!

I will try to breathe a bit of life into my old Xpmachine to get this littlre windfall up and running!!

Would that be the 'Mediterranean expansion pack' that included modders work without asking for permission first and beneffiting financially from the work said modders gave to the community for free?

I'm certainly not blaming you but the above 'pack' is not viewed with any warmth for many in this community.

Hmmmm I don't know to be honest - at work at the moment so cannot check to see.

If it is - and its ripping you guys off I will not install it on principle.

I always take the veiw that those that put the work in should get the credit- hence joining the Forum in the first place.

The plan would be to add mods as created and tested here as it would make the most sense - and be far more courteous to all who have taken the time and trouble to make them ...

Don't get me wrong...you paid for it so you have every right to install it but I think you'll find a supermod such as GWX for example to have a lot more content.

That mod sounds perfect - Don't worry- the add on has been lost from sight for such a length of time it really will not be missed at all.....:up:
