The Uk government is going to set up a monitoring board to ensure Scotch Whiskey is distilled according to regulations.

This scheme may be voluntary, but it won't get far if distilleries have to pay any money, after all a Scotsman and his money are hard parted. One fight between 2 Scots and a penny even led to the invention of copper wire!:O:
Also, what does the WSJ think is important news in the UK? Between this and stolen ferrets I'm beginning to wonder...

A little French Oak, A little hint o' Spanish Sherry, a little peat-fired barley flavor (for die-hards from Isla) and three years later...the "elixir of life" 'uisce beatha'! :woot:21 year-old GLENGOYNE forever!!

I'm not a whiskey or whisky fan, but most of the distilleries are probably owned by non-Scots running Diageo or similar.
Gin, vodka, shiraz or merlot, beer (lager or ale) or cider, but not whisk(e)y!
Nice joke about the copper. :D

Oh no problem, in anglo-saxon countries they will just put a camera everywhere, even in a w(h)iskey bottle to ensure its proper filling.
Also on toilets and toilet paper, of course, it is just for everyone's safety you know.
So they will exactly know where the turd goes, which is very important for the secret services and governments of the world.
P.S: And it's Uisge beatha :O:
After testing (sic! ahem) lots of scotch wiskeys i am now a fan for irish Bushmills single m. 65 cask strength. No scotch tastes as good as that. Try it.

Whisk(e)y gives me a banging headache, so i tend to drink ale, gin, vodka, red, white, rose', port, amaretto, southern comfort, various cocktails and local fire water when i'm on holiday. Although not all in the same glass..:()1:
A schooner of each as a chaser for the one before eh?
