After the success of European Escalation and Airland Battle, the Wargame series is going into round 3.
This time, the time frame is shifted a little forward (up to 91, prototypes up to 95).
As the title suggests, the new area of operations in Wargame: RD is Asia. Most important new feature? Ships!
Have a look! (http://devblog.wargame-ab.com/)

At a loss as to why these releases need to be separate games.
The game engine can't be changing too much, it just seems that new areas of operation and player units could be better served as expansions rather than singular games.

Well, maybe next time you do some more research?

Yup, indeed.
It is available for pre-order at STEAM and the first title in a long time I pre-ordered instantly without any hesitation or doubt.
European Escalation was awesome
Airland Battle was awesome
Red Dragon will be awesome
My buddies and me can't wait to change our names to Kim Il-Sun, Kim Jong-Il and Kim Jong-Un, leading Best-Korea to glory! :haha:
After all, NK will get T-90s!

I really enjoy WEE and Im sure this will be every bit as good if not better but that naval trailer if anything would put me off this game, its just too arcady. Naval battles are not fought in harbours with opposing ships 400-500m apart.

It is just the scale of the game. I know what you mean and I agree, I am also not so fancy about the whole naval aspect, since it just can't be done correctly in such a small scale but! ... There are ~1300 units, air, land, sea. Many maps will have ships, yet not all of them, so if you don't like it, just play it the way you prefer.
Many things are outta scale, but one adjusts and simply enjoys it earlier or later... for example that F-117 that is flying in what, 400m AGL? :haha:
The Trailer was very arcadish, like A10 attack planes engaging destroyers...yeah right... but still - you are the one who decides things like this, so don't get fooled by a trailer that is a little over the top :03:

The trailer would not put me off getting the game per se, but I feel it does not do justice to what Im sure will be a good game.
