Probably a mod issue. But I can't figure it out. When I go to periscope depth, my scope will not rise above the water surface so all I see of course is waves and part of a target now and then. Here's my mod list but I ran the check tool and there are no conflicts:

Probably a mod issue. But I will be damned...
I would edit out that language if I were you. If you read the forum's rules it states that there is to be no vulgarity. Not even using symbols as letters.
I would hate to see you in trouble so soon after signing up.
By the way, welcome to Subsim, and thanks for donating! This is a tight community and we all take care of each other
Welcome Aboard! :salute:

edited. Sorry. I think it was frustration of loading, uninstalling and reloading SH5 and the mods several times.
BTW, promoting drinking beer (Hamm's, which I love with Coney dogs) can lead to vulgarity after a few cans. ;)
Thanks....

Yep, not a problem! We correct folks around here because we want you to be a part of our community! Too often folks get keelhauled and suspended because they don't know they're breaking the rules, so I try to point that out as soon as I can to people so they won't get nixed.
Yes I feel your frustrations, and it's those frustrations about SH5 that pushed me back into the loving arms of SH3+GWX3+SH3 Commander. Arguably one of the best mod combos of all time!
SH5 to me seems like the U-boat version of Beverly Hills 90210. Lot's of flash and eye-candy, and you have to make sure your crew is happy and drama free otherwise they won't do their jobs. It's a task in itself just being bed-check charlie, let alone attempting to actually fight a war and get some tonnage.

Thanks....
Yeah the Hamm's thing is an inside joke among the Minnesotans here on Subsim :03:
After all, Hamm's is one of our home brews, as well as August Schell, and Grain Belt.
And I WILL cuss up a storm around buddies or in person, but I respect this community, so on here I keep it on the straight and narrow.

Actually within the nautical context of the forum, 'Damn' is permissible. Rear Admiral David Glasgow Farragut established the precedent famously at Mobile Bay while lashed to the rigging of his flagship, Hartford "Damn the torpedoes! full speed ahead" at Mobile Bay, 8/5/1864. His column of stalled warships then rushed through the field of tethered infernal devices to take the three forts protecting the major seaport and destroy the mighty Rebel ironclad Tennessee which had the temerity to take on the entire DamnYankee fleet(depending on yer point of view), inflicting considerable damage before surrendering to overwhelming numbers. What a rear admiral can utter at a critical juncture of a stalled fleet...a :subsim: kaleun should be able too, with a cranky computer; multiple ctd's and the occasional tdc failure. Additionally, I submit the Tom Petty album: Damn the Torpedoes-1979; the Melbourne punk rock group, Damn the Torpedoes...and the video game: Damn the Torpedoes...version of Hydro Thunder as additional fait accompli to the use of the expression. I do admit to some bias though, inasmuch as my avatar, U-666, der Gefallen Engel, mootly implies ...DAMNATION!:/\\!!

Now this is a prime example of a man who's had a few Hamm's! :Kaleun_Cheers:

Just a small correction. Nobody gets keehauled or brigged for breaking the language rules. Newcomers get a polite request to fix it. Older hands get an official warning. If the warnings are ignored or challenged, or if it's someone who has broken those rules before, the offender can recieve an infraction, which if repeated can lead to brigging. Again, nobody gets locked up or kicked out for a first offence.

Ok, well then I stand corrected! Thanks for pointing that out Steve. :salute:

Any ideas on the periscope issue? I looked around the forums and there have been issues with certain mod combinations. However, I am not using any of the mods they were discussing. :hmmm:

Your mod's order is very wrong.. you have to look at other mod-lists to see right orders..

Where are the lists? I'll hunt for them meanwhile. Thanks!

I guess I am confused as to what order these mods are to be in. How does a person know what order to put all these mods in?
