Doesn't look like the new year has brought about any change to the madness.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has spoken of the "elimination of factionalist filth" in his first public reference to the execution of his once-powerful uncle last month.

In a new year message broadcast on state TV, he said "resolute action" had strengthened the country's unity.

North Korea announced on 13 December it had executed Chang Song-thaek after convicting him of "acts of treachery".

You have to remember to whom his speech is addressed. It's not toward us in the west.

It's toward his own people, so he looks and sound as a big leader.

Come on, don't hold back...tell us how you really feel...

(p.s.: It was probably a comment like yours that got the uncle "written out of the will"...)

(p.s.: It was probably a comment like yours that got the uncle "written out of the will"...)<O> Actually in an old style commie gulag slaveocracy, even having a will, implying you have acquired ANYTHING under the regime, is a fatal political error! I imagine the AK-47 round to uncle's occiput widened his eyes briefly:x:o:dead:...before his corneas and kidneys were shipped to the Chinese market for much needed Yuan currency in the cash-starved counterfeit $$$ producing NK state.:shifty: The proceeds of the sale are probably lining fatboy's pockets...if the NK suits even have pockets! A Hamm's to ya' Sir Steed! :salute:

That's one of many problems with the English language and grammar.

The word "big" can mean a lot in a sentence (written with a smile on my face)

This was clearly a ploy to get his (Jong un) face in the subsim GT again.

Speaking of North Korea:

According to North Korean propaganda, the Americans (and presumably Australians too) like murdering children and driving nails into people's heads. This is coming from the country that threatens to kill millions with nuclear weapons, murders it's own citizens, and only has us in an armistice because of Chinese troops and Russian pilots. And Russia doesn't even care anymore.

Seriously, look up North Korean propaganda. The ones of American soldiers torturing people are so over the top they're actually funny :haha:

If the great leader says it is true then it must be.

We'll tear out your teeth and literally hammer propaganda into your head! Then we'll drop your baby down a well!

Oh, wait, that's what the Americans do. We don't do that. Not at all.

I'm rather inclined to believe the report may be NK regime's hyperbole to instill "awe" and fear into the NK population, but, as you said, it wouldn't be a surprise if true...

And you should know Sire! DOGGONE IT! nothing new here at All! 865 AD: good King Aella of Northumbria (yer neck of the woods) offs that pesky Viking, Ragnar Lodbrok by tossing him into a pit of ravenous wolves; I suspect fatboy is watching smuggled old Kirk Douglas flicks (the Vikings, Ernest Borgnine was the pittee). Some say it was a snake pit but the movie takes poetic license as set snake handlers are $$$:shucks:

Regarding the report Kim's uncle was eaten by 120 hungry dogs: no breed was specified...I wonder if they made it a real torture and fed him to say, 120 Pekingese dogs?...

Morbid, yes, I know, but I am in a bit of a grey mood today...
