Well after downloading the game via Amazon's direct download and some mods here and there(The Das Boot sound mod, the Warship mod and SH3 Commander.) I ran my first patrol and I have to say that SH3 has held up well over the years. The only Silent Hunter game I played before I got this was SH4 and for all intents it seems that SH3 stock is better then some of the SH4 mega mods.(Looking at you RFB.) I was planning on running the Grey Wolves mod but about 3/4th's of the way through installing it I started getting errors. I think one of the Bin files didn't download right so i'll redownload them later tonight and try again. Well there's my post and until I bag me something good i'll be sailing around in my Type VII and strangling the British supply lines.

I'm pretty sure your problem is the mods already installed. GWX requires installation onto a clean, untouched copy of SH3. Commander is an independent program so it doesn't matter when you install it, but DBSM and the Warship Mod change files that GWX then overwrites. This can cause complications.

I tried installing GWX first before I added the other mods. Also the Warship mod has has a GWX compatible version that I downloaded as well as the stock version.

I should have read your own guess before guessing myself.

I hope that turns out to be the case, as that should make it easily solveable.

If you haven't already seen it, here's a thread to peruse.

Thanks Jimbuna. I'm looking forward to getting the mod to work as i've yet to see an SH3 let's play that isn't using some version of it.
