So i just found my SH5 dvd ... installing as i write this, any advices on mods and updates ?

I reset my long lost password for this forum ... and here i am

If im doing this on the wrong place please point me in the right direction ...

ok ... so the game uptdated itsefl to the 1.2 patch and now its updating the uplay ... do i need uplay to play the game ? i dont recall playing the game from uplay, can someone help me ... what is the next step ?

Welcome back and merry Christmas after 21 months or so. your good where you are! Head for Fifi's mod list to ease into a relatively ctd proof mod-world and then get adventurous to taste...it ain't called a mod soup fer nuthin'!:D

Thanks ... so i guess there is still nothing like GWX for SH5 ... i was thinking that Open Horizons would be enough ...

This game is quite a pain to get going, but as Aktungbby said you would be best heading for a megamod lists like Sobers or FiFi's.

But none of these can guarantee you won't get any CTD's though, it will take fine tuning on your end to flush these out, some spend more time trying to get it to work than actually playing, myself being a good example.:D

This is too much for me... how many mods must one use to get this game to be any good ... :wah:

It's very hard to determine a number of mods that would optimize one persons playing experience, I would recommend taking a look at the Sobers Megamod thread and FiFi's modlist threads.
