I started a new campaign and everything ran smoothly. I did the first two missions without any problem.
However, i decided to take out Real Navigation to be able to assign Waypoints to my sub instead of all the neat stuffs included by the mod. And since then, i keep getting CTD. Mostly when i hit the Periscope depth icon or when meeting an enemy ship. I tried restarting a campaign, but it still crashes, even when i come back to the original list.

Can somebody bring me some lights on it? :)

I am no expert but you have a mod showing .7z at the end which I think is still in it's zipped state so the mod has not been unpacked!
Did you make the changes back in TDW Generic File Patcher and also in the Options File Editor when you Disabled Real Navigation?
You have a large mod soup. The more mods you have the more likely somewhere down the line you will have ctd,s. You have a lot of environmental mods. If you were to remove some of these you would probably not notice the difference.
I am sure the guys will look at your mod soup and give you some advice as to any that need repositioning.
I do not know why but the bad weather deck gun was giving me a ctd
Best of luck Peter

Thanks for that first answer.

I checked and the 7.z is just the name of the file, it's not a compressed file. Weird name i admit.

You also talk about desactivating the REal navigation via the option file editor; i didn't do that. Do you have a link to the desactivation process?

I am waiting for the opinion of experts :)

Thanks!

I'm not an expert either, especially on things pertaining to SH5, but unless someone looks at your list and spots something all I can suggest is remove the latest mod and try it. If that doesn't work remove the next one and try it.

I know that most people just want to load up a tankful of mods and play, but unless you know all the mods intimately yourself the best way to do it is load them up one at a time when you first start and test each and every one. I know it's tedious and boring, but so is sitting and looking at a crashed screen. That way you not only have a game that works, you also have a working knowledge of what each mod does.

I don't know how many times I've done that with SH3, but it's more than I can count, and I now have a list of what needs to be installed in what order, and if I want to add a new one I only have to figure out what order it should go in. If I do get a crash I'm usually pretty certain what caused it and why. That's good knowledge to have.

If you are asking for a link for the Options File Editor then I can only guess that you never changed it from false to true in the first place as it would just be a reversed procedure.
I totally agree with Sailor Steve. It's a pain but sometimes it is the only way. I started with 74 mods and although everything started ok I started to get ctd's to a point where even the saved game would not load. I decided there and then that I had had enough, so I decided I would only enable the mods I really could not do without and still ended up with over 50 mods and no ctd's to date. I took the trouble to look at mod lists from 6 other subbers rather than just the one to make sure I was on the right track.
As I said before I think you could lose a few environmental mods and not notice the difference. If you look at the readme for the Dynamic Environment v2.9 this is a really good mod with a lot of content. I just wonder how many mods you have that are over writing other mods!
