It looks like this guy was saved because of his family connection perhaps?
A powerful uncle of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been removed from his post, South Korean media reports say.
Citing South Korea's intelligence agency, they say Chang Song-thaek, 67, lost his position as vice-chairman of the North's top military body.
Two close aides were also executed for corruption, according to the reports.

People believe this....?
N Korea is a closed circuit government, nothing escapes them unless it is put out. There is no such thing as leaks, as they follow a Stalinesque type kill and repress system.
I refuse to believe this propaganda, it is intended to stir fear in Korean populace, and caution to outside governments, but not true in any way.
Goebbels would love this place, you guys buy everything your told at face value, without trying tointerpret why or what, and if it craps on America in some way, it is always true, as we are the new Pariah
Go on, he is a great ally. Kim Jong ding dong.
Uncle Kim, anti American hero, I can see the propaganda vids now!
Why do we tolerate this, (oh China and Russia lap his backside like a dog licking peanut butter off a womans privates.)
(edit: Bring it Kimmy, China and Russia are sick of your crap at this point, and willing to let us rape you for fun and profit)
I am sure we will cut them in.

I'm with soopaman. This is most likely a farce. Not what it seems. Or maybe a misleading justification. And don't forget what happened to young Kim's former girlfriend.
NK might just as well be in another planet.

NORTH KOREA IS BEST KOREA! :stare:No, no, my son. :stare: There is only one Korea - Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Southern part of our great nation - the Greatest on Earth mind you - is just temporarily occupied by vile capitalist regime supported by American imperialists. You clearly need some re-education...
:O:
Well Jim, looks like he's gotten a little more then dismissed, lol

Of all the charges including a disasterous financial policy, having an operation in a foreign country, drinking, distributing porn among his friends, gambling and dreaming different dreams, the most heineous has to be "clapping half-heartedly in meetings"! Christ, how far would I get in his government with my tendency to nod off during corporate roadshows? :o
Quite surprised this has made headline news, if I'm honest, this is the DPRK, it's Stalinist Russia on steroids, purges are hardly uncommon, admittedly this chap is a pretty high profile casualty, but this is, to be honest, pretty standard procedure for a North Korean leader who is cementing his powerbase, we had all the sabre rattling earlier this year to 'prove' his strength against the American and South Korean imperialists, and now he's cleaning house internally.
Business as usual in Pyongyang.

Another round of purges may be in progress.
North Korean business people are being recalled from China following the execution of top official, Chang Song-thaek, says a South Korean report. Leader Kim Jong-un may be purging associates of Mr Chang, who was in charge of economic ties with China.
If they're smart they'll go to ground in China if they can. Sounds like anybody connected with Uncle is getting expunged from history.
