Seriously, this guy (http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/14/world/canada-toronto-mayor/index.html?hpt=hp_t2)makes Bill Clinton look like a boy scout. :timeout:

I was actually quite surprised his name didn't come up in that child sex ring they uncovered yesterday. :haha:

If he was my boy, I would ask myself what went wrong that my boy, mayor of Toronto, hooks up with the wrong crowd.

But I think we can at least determine a positive social prognosis for him. He has a family that supports him and he has a good job, mayor of Toronto, and so the chances are high that it is possible to restore him to a useful life, a life in which he contributes to himself and to society, rather than to be harmful to society :arrgh!:

I guess some would say he's in the right profession considering some of his alleged habits.

My home town. :D

I'm just happy the media has stopped talking abour our mayor(s) in Montreal. :D

OTOH, the Canadian Federal Government will have a balanced budget in 1-2 years, who cares if Toronto's mayor is a clown. :ping:

You have to respect a public official who claims that he was too drunk to remember smoking crack.

Actually, no, it is pretty hard to respect someone like that.

Charlie Brooker (he of 'Newswipe' fame) made a good tweet on this subject:

"Next Grand Theft Auto better have the mayor of Toronto as a playable character."

I kind of like his defiance, refusing to step down. After all, he has been convicted of nothing. I can see why his popularity has increased over this mess.I laughed my ass off at this yesterday:

Bad boys are all around us, particularly in government positions. Most of the time they keep their party pals in the same pay grade, to avoid the kind of mess in Toronto.

You can bet there are some interesting "parties" behind closed government doors in any country. This idiot was just so arrogant that he thought himself above the rest.

For those who aren't aware, three of our senators just got caught falsifying expense claims. The rest of them didn't get caught. They voted to suspend the three for two years. duh?

Fraud is criminal!

Fraud is only criminal if the one that gets caught is a taxpayer....The political leaches will find a way to wiggle out of any charges.
