A good thing this burned up as it re-entered the Earths atmosphere :o
The European Space Agency's (Esa) Goce satellite has re-entered the Earth's atmosphere, burning up in the process.
US tracking data suggests any surviving debris fell into the South Atlantic, just off the tip of South America, south of the Falkland Islands.
Dubbed the "Ferrari of space" because of its sleek looks, Goce is the first Esa mission to make an uncontrolled re-entry in more than 25 years

Otherwise it would have squished a penguin? :hmmm:
Nah, Argentina would have sued us under the Outer Space Treaty. :03:

So it didn't really fall to Earth, right?:O:
Just returned to the atmo where it burned up.

"In Monday morning satellites estimated track would gone above Finland. Then it could have crashed into Finland."Haven't seen data so can't say how likely that would have been. That previously good newspaper has sometimes recently made its best to beat Daily Fail in sensationalism. :hmmm:

Looks like ESA discovered Kerbal Space Program and got confused at one point...

Actually, it's estimated about 200-250kg could have survived re-entry and is now somewhere at the bottom of the South Atlantic. :03:

That is pretty impressive sensationalism there, always impressive how media (in particular newspapers) can add 1 and 1 and get 17.
