Hello all
I am pretty new to SH5, and got the hang of torpedoing merchant ships quickly.
now the problem is when I get to the mission in the south of britain in the first campign, Ispot destroyers (correct me if I am wrong) I should sink, either thing happen: or they are to fast and my torps miss them, or they sink me.
ok now to my question. Is there some kind of guide how to sink destroyers?
thanks in advance.

destroyers will lurch forward at unrealistic speeds so always target 10-25% of the DD length in front of them and you wont miss anymore.

its not that you are doing anything wrong its just the game lets them move like they are a motorcycle and not a ship on water

Unless the mission assignment orders it or you are "put to it" defensively, avoid escorts; the name of the game is simply TONNAGE. Working eels are a little short in the Ubootwaffe and not to be wasted. I understand that Herr GroßAdmiral Dönitz is substituting a new eel contact pistol from a captured English torpedo as our own technical department has been unable to do solve our problem and he doesn't want his kaleuns on the sea 'with an empty rifle'! Stick to the mission basically unless of course your "itchy Neck" spots:Kaleun_Periskop: a juicy carrier...renown has its cachet too! Viel Glück und Fette Beute 'Kaleu'!:Kaleun_Salute:

Is there a mod that can make them move realistically?

When I hit an escort I dive after striking and do the cat and mouse bit for about 15-20 minutes. Pay attention to the sound guy and his reports. Listen for the depth charges and you can tell about how far off they are. Soon enough you'll know when you can go to periscope depth and take a look.
Destroyers run wide circular search patterns. Usually you can line then up for a nice flank shot. Or, if they spot your scope they will charge you and you can get a good head on shot (generally what I end up doing. My crew must think I'm nuts :O: )
