Hey guys!

I wanted to share an update about gpu fubar2niner sent me (8800 gtx).

So,i have managed to run this card ( with dvi to vga connector ) because my friend gave me his corsair psu 550w ( he bought 1000w psu )

So i started computer and i was happy when i see that i finally have run 8800 gtx that was collecting dust few months ( and years in fubar2niners place ).

What i saw next was horrible.

I saw upon a booting windows verical blue lines across whole screen and black lines horizontal. and all text when windows stats up was "alien text".
So i managed to enter to windows, and i installed somehow nvidia drivers hoping it would solve my problems.
than i restarted computer.
and i saw that there were no lines and alien text ANY MORE!
But after about 10 minutes screen showed small blue pyramid look like "artefacts" all over the display. and screen started to flash, while all freezed when this happened. it stoped and after few minutes again, but this time didn t stop,it flashed like minute or so and than showed BSOD "nv4_disp error" ( infinite loop error ) and it restarded my pc.

When i did research around internet i have concluded that card 8800 gtx (fubar2niner have sent me) is failing or it is about to die soon.
It is unfortunate that this happened.
What next?

Check that the heatsink is properly in contact with the GPU.
You could also reinstall the graphics drivers if it is a driver related issue.

No it is not driver as there was color errors and artifacts on the screen before i installed drivers.
even on boot screen there is "alien text"
and it is also not the temperature issue as it is 62 celsius on idle. Which is not problem for the 8800 gtx.
I think the RAM of card gone bad.
