Hi,
I have been using Stoainm’s TDC tutorial to learn manual TDC targeting, using these mods; NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0_ByTheDarkWraith, NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0_Real_Navigation and Trevally Automated Scripts v0.6.
I have a problem seeing the angles with the protractor that shows up under the nav map icon that is showing up with those mods. I have attached screen shots. There probably is a way to change this and it must be in TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py file, but I can’t seem to find it.

Initially, Stoaims video actually shows a small grey dot on the TAI map, (which doesn’t show up on my TAI map only with my nav map,) and then the Icon that shows position info, the one that’s in the way shows up, and then disappears seconds later being replaced with the original small gray dot, so he must be toggling that Icon, with the info, away somehow.

I just noticed something, after getting a dead reckoning nav fix, a small gray dot shows up for about 3 seconds, on my TAI map, and then disappears. Maybe I have some corrupted mod files or something.

Also, I would like to change the position of the XO’s dialog box to the right as in my screen shot, taken from Stoainm’s TDC tutorial. Again I know it’s an option, probably in the .py file, but I can’t find that either.
Can anyone help me out?

Sorry for all the questions, I have been trying to figure this out myself, but there comes a time I just have to ask.
Thanks for any help

Not sure about the video, but the map-work I do know:D

when using your map to track the information that you gain for your solution - you can just make a mark (pencil mark) anywhere.
It does not have to be your actual position as all the information you will make is relative to you.

The icon he has constantly showing is the one that should be shown for a useroptionfile defined time, and then disapear. It should be on both the TAI and the NAV map during that defined period. Using RealNav you should get a supermark with your position fix on the nav map, this doesnt show on your TAI. There is no other permanent 'mark' on your TAI, other then the pencil x-mark you can put there yourself, using real navigation.

I dunno how stoianm changed the two 'icons' for the marks .. or how he shows what should be a temporary mark continuasly... perhaps he just set the time to show it rediculously long .. idk :hmmm:

I just explained what it does there, why it is there, and where to configure how long to show it :salute:

Can be configured with the optionfileeditor as well .. XO tab. Or press 'l' .. this hides the log and moves the box there .. press 'l' again to show the log again, this will move the XO box again.

No worries .. there is no way anybody but a stubborn donkey is able to figure this all out by themselves and still enjoy the game after that :D

Nah .. a stubborn donkey :haha:

Face it tho .. if you sit down and work out every problem using the search function at most, you are in the mindset of: I will not let this game get the better of me. It's the same one that prevents people from asking directions when lost. It's stubborn .. and wastes a lot of time at little return :p

Dont worrie tho .. I am one myself. I mean no ill by it :03:
