England arrived at the penal colony yesterday to begin preparations for the November start of the next Ashes series.
England are clear favourites to make it four in a row and rightly so but before a ball is bowled I must admit to being underwhelmed by the whole farcical situation....the last series was only a couple of months ago, the series having been played for decades on a biennial basis.
Personally I blame the greed of the sponsors and predict that should this become a regular thing then the series will diminish in value in the eyes of supporters.
I'll obviously be watching from home and hoping for an English victory but it won't be with the usual fervour and passion I usually have.

So you'll be asleep in front of the telly then?:O:

Honestly given the performance of our mob this year I'm not epecting much at all out of this series and I agree that its too soon after the last round to be at it again.
That said I'm keen to get out to the SCG in January to see if we can scrape together a draw.

With one slight difference...my bed will be dry :D
Win or lose I just can't see myself getting overly excited or annoyed...the next series (following a sufficient time lapse hopefully) will be a totally different matter :sunny:

You'll be wearing your Depends then.
I see no point to this, its too soon. Typical greed controlling everything it gets its filthy mucky hands on. :nope:
Another sport heading for the bin by the looks of it.

Could be but I hope your wrong....the fundamental problem being the fact that most of the sponsorship is now generated by the sports channels/viewing figures/tv packages required to watch the game.
