Hey guys, I'm sorry if this topic has already been addressed but I can't seem to find accurate information on it. I'v been playing OHII and Just got sent to the new base In France (Lorient). I was just wondering if I am still supposed to have the Type VIIB boat at this point. Normally in the stock game I get the VIIC when I get transfered to Lorient, and I noticed that I can talk to my crew about how they like the new boat, but I am still in my old VIIB. Is my game messed up? Or does OHII just give you the VIIC at a later date than the stock game. I just want to make sure so I don't keep playing a game that is glitched. Any information would be helpfull.

Hi ElephantMemory:salute:

OHII will set any new campaign start in MN or WA in the type c
It can't however force it onto your career status - Uekel and I tested many many ways to achieve this but could not.
So if you are still in your trusty old type b - you will have to wait for your captain/crew points to allow a boat upgrade.
This can take some time or happen in your next dock - the promotion point system is a bit glitch

Ok will do, ill keep saving them up and see what happens. Love the type B, have no problem with it. Just want to check out all the boats eventually. When you talk about the crew points .. your referring to the Promotion points and not the renown points right?

Anyway thanks for the reply and ill keep at it and hope for the best.

No not crew point - it is some hidden score/point system that I could find:doh:

humm. So have you mapped out how many points you need for the different types of U boats?

No - I have no clue
I tried lots of edits to the SH5 save games etc - but never anything that could get a new boat - I was always sure it was to do with your rank, but could not get it to work

BdU plans are unfathomable. I think I have read somewhere that the part of code relative to u-boat assignements is encoded in a form of not yet deciphered ENIGMA code :03:
