Has anyone else noticed that the people who are the most content in life care less about what other people think? Nor do they try to impress others. It has also always seemed to me that the more self-confidence one has, the less they care what others think and the less time they try to impress others; as if this impression alone is where they find satisfaction.
So my question is, how far will people go and at what lengths, just to impress people?
It's quite sad really; how low people think of themselves to stoop to some levels of immorality just to appease another.

I'm not sure how morality enters in, but people will generally do anything to impress people, that's part of our evolution.
There's a big difference between self confidence and a big ego.
I noticed that the OP is in the brig, does that count?

If you have high self confidence solitary confinement would not be so bad I think. :hmm2:
The OP kind of double talks himself anyway caring about what others think and simply trying to impress people are not one in the same necessarily. It all depends on whose opinion you care about and who you are trying to impress and why.
I suspect that the OP had a tinge of jealousy about some threads started by others and his failure to discredit.

For some reason I suspect "our friend Motaba is (was) back", with yet another "mutation". The "modus operandi" and the style seemed a bit familiar.

In your teens and 20s, you care what everyone thinks.
In your 30s and 40s, you don't care anymore.
In your 50s and 60s, you realize no one ever cared at all.

Ha.
That's funny.
I wish it weren't true.
