View Full Version : Just completed my first Silent Hunter I war patrol

On my first war patrol, was assigned to Southern Japan (Area 7) The patrol started out slow, but ended well. I got a feel for how the destroyer AI works, which is pretty good. Here are my results at 100% realism:

1 Kagero Class destroyer: 2033 tons
3 Sampans: 210 tons
1 Troop Transport: 7542 tons
1 Standard Merchant: 15200 tons

Overall Tonnage: 24985 tons

Won the Bronze Star for that patrol. :D:D:D

USS Pickerel, Porpoise Class.
23 and 24 December 1941 were the active dates. The rest was transit time.

Okay, that answered my question, which was going to be about home port. I always liked taking an S-boat out of Manila.

Did you get Hawk's Silent Hunter Mods from the Downloads section? You can take one of the big V-boats if you like. :D

Silent Hunter 1 is pretty fun sometimes.

Yeah, I have Hawk's mods installed. it was one of the first things I did when I installed the game. :D Good stuff. :Kaleun_Wink:

I just started my second patrol. Much to my annoyance, I was sent to the Aleutians. So much for getting tonnage on this patrol. :stare::/\\!!:/\\!!:/\\!!

I looked for the "Jettison Debris" command today...

How do you do that in this game? :hmmm:

Sack me after a bad 2nd patrol after pulling in 25k on maiden voyage? Whose navy are we talking about? The WWII-era Navy or the Modern Era Navy? :D:D:O:

Hit "M" to get on the 1MC and select it from the menu.

Odd...

Doesn't show up...and M doesn't bring up the 1MC for me...I have to go to the control room and it's in the bottom right corner.

Are you running the latest patch? I have Commander's edition.
