After a couple of years i think away from this game im wanting back in again.

Problem is the Ubisoft launcher doesn't want me back in again!

When i try to start the game, it asks me for my password / E-mail adress, no probs there, but then when it asks me for my Activation code, it say's " this code is already in use" or somthing like that....yes it is..by me!!!!

Its asking for Activation code for "gold addition", never had this, only the basic original addition. so in short i cant play SH5 again.

Any help?

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the launcher. A few of us have had issues over the years with the launcher.

Exactly the same problem you have. First the email/password screwup, then had to create a new account, then multiple account issues, when Ubisoft did not erase my old account information twice when I asked them to, and waiting some time for information to clear. Third time was a charm!!!
Contacting Ubisoft UPlay help by phone was the quickest to fixing the same issue you have now, as I had months ago and others have had. Software corruption when UPlay updates itself.

Click on my name, under statistics, threads I started, I have a link for the latest Ubisoft game launcher.

P.S. Sober, I believe has said, and I have the original addition, not the gold edition. The gold edition picture shows up for me when I start the game process.

Thanks buddy, though i do have the latest launcher...hence the problem!, it wont accept my game code with my E-mail address / password.

I guess, i'll have to contact them.

You need to put in the original name/password you first played SH5 with :yep:

If all else fails and you are about to give up, I have a last resort option which I can not discuss here. It's not pretty tho and only half a solution.

I just reinstalled the game as well after a long time. I had no problem logging in with Uplay, but there is something else to be warned about:
Uplay doesn't download the latest version of SH5. For some reason it installed version 1.1.5 on my computer.

I remember the autoupdate program used to run a check when you started a Ubi game, but apparently not anymore. And there is no auto-update option in Uplay settings either.
So you have to go in Silent Hunter 5/Support/GameUpdater and run gu.exe yourself to get the patch 1.2.

Make sure you have the last patch before installing any mod :up:
