I can give many more examples. What did you think? Did I get the whole thing wrong? How can I fix it ?

Some mods change the ships' dimensions. If you use an extra ship mod and a recognition manual mod, maybe there is a conflict?
Can you show us your modlist?
Here :
One more thing, I have tried to use Charts Addon 1.4 but couldn't find the charts ingame ??? I had the same problem even before installing Charts Addon. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong in your modlist. Everything should be fine. I don't use GWX at the moment, so I can't compare your ships' dimensions to mine. Maybe some GWX player here in the forum can check their recognition tables and see if there is a difference between theirs and yours :timeout:
Charts addon can't be installed through JSGME if one is not a GWX+Magui F user. It can be added through manual editing but that is such a big work that I doubt many people will try that.

On the other hand the real recognition manuals weren't all that accurate either.
Yeah, who prepared this manual surely has no understanding of mathematics :haha: Even the drawings are wrong !

Good point.
OP- Look up the drawing of the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin in the U.S. recognition manual.

And it is not even close to correct. I have not paid too much attention to the in game manual to be honest. Historically they were more or less a rough guideline.

After reading Operation Drumbeat, which follows U-123 under Hardegan in early 1942, I believe the manuals were largely useless. He was one of the best skippers out there, but constantly mis-identified merchant ships by as much as 10K tons, even in perfect conditions. IIRC, he even misidentified a merchant for a tanker.
How he then calculated range, I don't know. Most of his shots were taken from so close that even his mother would have hit the target.
Decided to uninstall and reinstall the game opps the "simulation" :) Before install GWX 3.0, i run the game to check ship manual and observed same problem so I think this is meant to be this way.
