I'm not really sure if this is caused by mods, or it is problem with stock game, but did anyone encounter problem with speed - that you are unable to stop a boat? It happens to me awfully often, I'm just going with, like 12 kts and nothing can stop me lol, literally, even if I will give an order to full stop - my boat won't stop. I was patient with this, but it finally made me mad, when it appeared that this situation can happen under water. Imagine that you cannot go slower than 6knts under water, you can be easily dead because of that, if destroyers will hear you.
Anyone encountered this and/or have anything that would fix this other than saving/loading game constantly just to fix the bug? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong, and there are ways to avoid it - I'm typically setting speed on surface, only when I'm sure that boat switched engines. Also I'm trying to go underwater only if before I ordered "Full stop" (but I'm not waiting for speed to decrease to 0) - may something of this be the cause of problems?

Sounds like a modconflict or a buggy mod to me. I never had this, even tho I did a lot of bad things to my game :p

TDW_GenericPatcher_v_1_0_127_0 is outdated, new version here (http://www.mediafire.com/?36ldde57a3u625p).
RPM Hydrophone merchants 2.1 -for OHII full v2.2- is outdated, new version here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=205625).
Other then that, it's as if I'm looking at my own list with a few minor changes that cannot be related afaik.
Just wondering .. I'm missing: Submarine's .sim&cfg (modified for engine ratio + independent control patches) from your list. If you DID enable the patch, this might be your problem: only one engine responding to your command if you give the command in any other way then using 1-5 or the command bar in lower left.

I was going to say the same thing, I ran into a situation like this about a week ago when playing with independent controls.

Sober's list as the mega mod download pack or [inf] sobers's mega mod?
Always get the latest updates from [inf] sober's mega modlist in SH5 mods workshop. Sober did a great job with having all thread listings for each mod.

Independent engine controls works beautifully. My last mod list is posted on the reworked submarine damage thread in SH5 mods, page 20, post 292.

I'm not sure what you think I tried to say, but I didnt :haha:
He is telling us that his speed is unaffected by his commands ... he shows a modlist where I do not see the mod we are referring to listed, and if he did use the patch, perhaps only one of his engines is responding to the command, since he misses the mod that goes with the patch. I know it works and how it works, and based on that the only logical thing I can come up with is one of his engines still set to full speed because of that missing mod. I could be wrong, but I in no way tried to say that 'Submarine's .sim&cfg (modified for engine ratio + independent control patches)' could be the issue .. I was opting that it not being there could be the issue.
I have one more question - do you think I can enable this mod on patrol without too much hassle? It changes only cfg and sim files.
You can always try .. and if you get CTD's, disable again ;)

Thanks for info, so I think I will need to stick with those bugs for a while, but hope that it will be fixed on the next patrol :yeah: .
