View Full Version : Miliband anger at Daily Mail 'lie'

I never met David and Ed Milibands father Ralph but regardless of his political beliefs the Daily Fail has once again demonstrated how it fails to be fair and balanced in it's stories.

Ralph fled the Nazis and enlisted in the Royal Navy like so many other foreigners so why should he be singled out publicly?

Oh, I forgot, he has two sons who are often in the public eye.

Ed Miliband has accused the Daily Mail of lying about his father after the newspaper headlined an article about him as "The man who hated Britain".
The Labour leader said he was "appalled" that after offering him a right of reply, the paper had repeated its original article and also now "described my father's legacy as evil".
He said it raised questions about morality and boundaries for newspapers.

Given the support the Daily Mail gave to the Fascist Blackshirts in the 1930s, I'd suggest that they are hardly in a position to comment on the patriotism or otherwise of those who fled their Nazi allies...

Watching/listening to it now, never been a big fan of Alistair Campbell, but can't disagree with him at all.

The Mail is the most evil paper in this country full of lies BS and a good helping of HATE HATE HATE. The Mail being the No.1 HATE paper followed by the Express then the red tops lower down the order.

Even the broadsheets lie or twist facts more in there case on the economy, I don't read news papers in this country anymore and the TV news is just as bad twisting and turning and setting agenda news.

As for the Mail/Express they are without question vile and full of hate.

Most of the readership must be into humour.
