Dumb question

So ok I'm looking toget this game and sure icould just buy it on steam but often nottice that alot of mods say ( dosen't work on steam version)
SO i looked for a hard copy of SH5 or silent hunter 5 Gold preferably.... I can't find anystores that carry it. SO i'm lokign to buy online but i have no clue from where to get the game where it would be like having the disk to make sure idon't encounter any issues due to the fact i bought a degital version. Any tips And yes ive used google i mean i can find plenty of places where they sell digital copys.. but what i'm asking is if any of you guys bought it from a site and you know for a fact your game works properly with mods ect.

its not the gold edition but the gold version of sh5 isn't the same as the gold version of sh4 so you don't need the gold version since you don't miss out on anything by buying the regular version
