Windows Media Player is NOT doing it's job.
I'll get halfway through a movie or even sometimes the movie won't even start...
What kind of alternatives are out there? :hmmm:

Well I use power DVD, it does a pretty good job, and I got it free with my Blu-ray drive. I mean, it is commercial software, I don't know if it is worth the money though

My WMP doesn't play DVDs at all. I found this free player that plays them quite well.

Are we talking just player? Plays movies?
VLC Player, hands down plays everything. Been using for 5 years now, never looked back:

WM Player is garbage. Seriously.
Best player out there.

Usually you have some sort of free software on the driver install CD
That has a play back software program

My problem was momentarily fixed with a reboot the other day...and I found an 11 year old software on one of my DVD's that I installed if WMP gives me more crap.
I'll definitely take a better look at things this weekend. :)
