Balao class question

Hey I just wanted to ask, if anyone has the time to answer itd be great.

How soon does the balao become available to sail in the unmodded (vanilla) game, since I have a campaign in 1942 atm and I am hoping I wont have to wait till like 1945 to get one :-?

Don't have my game in front of me right now but I am pretty sure its mid 43 it becomes available in the stock game.

I have not played stock game in forever but think its around May 43 assuming youve had good patrols etc you will be offered a Balao
