Hi I am trying to use this patch. Have unzipped patch in a new folder, including 1.4b SH3.exe file. I click on file Patch_SH3 and it successfully patches my SH3.exe file I then click on HsieOptionsSelector and uncheck 4G option and click OK it then says your SH3.exe in now updated. THE probem is my SH3.exe disappears, my updated SH3.exe is now gone. I have repeated this many times and it always disappears. I am using Windows XP Home Service Pack 2. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not sure about your problem so i doubt this will help but if you use steam version of sh3 then i suggest to watch this video, as i used it to install the hsie patch and 4gb patch without issue, so maybe it will you too.

Hi Lonny007,
I had the same problem a few months ago. It was my anti-virus that deleted my patched sh3.exe because it must've identified it as a threat. I put the exe to the exception list but that silly program still kept removing it. Finally, I uninstalled my anti-virus program and downloaded an other which seemed to learn from the fault of its predecessor. Nothing can stop me when it comes to SH3! :arrgh!:

Allievo, couldn't you just disable your anti-virus while you patched the .exe? Seems like it would have been less work. A/V programs like NAV and McAfee automatically reactivate after 5-15 minutes.

Wow thanks for the tip, usually any time a Anti Virus program does something I will get a pop up window telling me about the action. But I forgot I have Avast running on silent gaming mode and sure enough there is 6 SH3.exe in virus vault, hehe. Thanks for replys, I am set now!

BigWalleye, I even disabled my software during playing but at the first quick virus search my A/V program deleted the exe without a question even though not only the exe file but also its complete folder was added to the exception list. So much for that anti-virus program... :shifty:

Wow! Sounds like you have the Incredible Hulk of A/V programs! I understand why you would swap it for one that listens to you.
