A terrible way to end a life....hopefully the captured suspect (if guilty) will lead the authorities to the other four responsible.

Police in Kenya are investigating the murder of a former British army colonel who was killed by an armed gang at his home near Nanyuki, Laikipia.
David Parkinson and his wife were attacked after the gang of suspected robbers, armed with machetes and a gun, smashed their way into the house in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
Mrs Parkinson escaped after hiding in a strong room.

Not in the UK but I should imagine it is allowed in Kenya.

I should think a 'Bushmaster' with three thirty rounders (strapped) would give pause in an ambuscade...and an ordinary machete for close quarters stuff.:dead:

Probably why the murderers demanded his firearms at gunpoint.

I noticed on my last sojurn to the Old Sod that the weapon of choice to Polish guest workers is a ten-inch Philips-head screwdriver to the temple!:hmmm:

Several years back, while on vacation in Hawaii, my home was invaded.
My Step-son and a friend ended up in hospitals due to the attack.
The perps were caught and did time. I also attended several other trials for those scumbags, years later, and made sure they did even more time.
At each trial I made it clear I would exterminate any intruder first and ask questions later.
Even the local LEO's are careful when they approach my home now.
