About to be transformed into a donorcycle.:timeout:

I hope this is just staged for the camera.

On the other hand I wouldn't dismiss some squids actually doing this.:shifty:

Looks like he's doing some long travelling so I can understand the motive, but I bet the Highway Patrol would take a dim view quickly.

Come on, Neal. Haven't you ever done anything like that? I have.

I hope this is just staged for the camera.

Staged, but not really. Unless he's got cruise control or a throttle lock he's going to slow down real soon. Staged because he's doing it for the camera, not really because it's not faked. He just propped himself up so his buddy could take a picture. At speed the bike (especially one that heavy) isn't going to fall over or even wobble for the few seconds it takes to get into that position. Any kid can do it on a bicycle. Just raise your feet and hands and coast along for awhile. :sunny:

I know Steve, I'm riding myself. ;)
(though I'm still in training for the licence and don't own a motorcycle yet.)

I believe some Harleys do indeed have cruise control, that's why I hope it's staged because it would be possible to ride like that, though it wouldn't be safe at all as the guy can't react to anything that's going on.

A lot of things.

Otherwise it wouldn't be fun. :sunny:

At least he is wearing a helmet, protective leathers, and sturdy boots.

oh. :nope:

I am sure those flip-flops and shorts will protect him. :yep:

Looks like a Pennsylvania tag on the bike (Road King?).:hmmm: I still have my license, but haven't driven in decades. I see a lot of bikers in PA that don't wear helmets. I guess it's not mandatory here.
My son is a Master Technician for Harley Davidson of NYC.:smug:

In looking at the picture, is the motorcycle and the automobile really in the same lane?

I don't get why people ride without proper gear.:nope:
During my training hours I've already been on a bike at 35°C. Yes, it's hot while you're waiting at some traffic lights in a jacket, boots, motorcycle pants, gloves and a full face helmet but when you are moving you get cooled nicely by the wind (on a naked bike). The very idea to ride without a helmet is strange to me. Aside from the safety factor the wind alone at 60 mph would put me off. Besides, the first thing I do after getting home after riding a bike is to clean all the dead insects from my helmet...I definitely don't think I would be looking very cool with those on my face.:dead:

My guess is he's moving, but holding the bars with his left hand, which is hidden by his leg. Seen several shots like that staged for the camera.

^ Those are going to ooze awhile!

I went down on a bike once without a jacket, in grass but, still got skin burned off and would have gotten a concussion if I wasn't wearing a helmet. I slid right into a small hole in a briar hedge, narrowly missing a steel culvert.

Safety equipment are good.

You're right. Pennsylvania doesn't require helmets. Run naked cranium if you dare. We got big bugs.

The guy must have a rocker shifter, in that he's wearing flip flops.
I always found it painful to down shift wearing sneakers.
What happens if he nods off? CRUNCH!!!!

Some peoples' kids.:nope:

Schroeder

Don't you mean up shift?
I guess it's more painful to pull the lever upwards with the topside of your foot while wearing slippers.:dead:

So today I learned that real bikers don't have checking accounts.

Probably will run better than a real Rolex too. :yep:

When I was shopping for a watch. I looked at Rolex. Always wanted one. But in looking closer at them. All you are paying for is the name. The prices are just unreasonable.

I went with Omega. Very happy with it.
