It's hard to believe that today is the 1 year anniversary of Neil Armstrongs passing. A while back, I came across this website were the modeler Vincent Meens built this fantastic 1/24 scale LM-5 and displayed it as it would of appeared shortly after the start of the first lunar EVA. His attention to detail is incredible and if anybody else has ever wanted to tackle something similar, his webpage has some great instructions and step-by-step pictures. Of course if you want to do a different Apollo mission, some research would be required.

His model is currently displayed in Toulouse along with modeler Serge Gracieux's Soviet Lunar Module LK also built to 1/24 scale.
