I can find the DVD on Amazon. The issue is regional ability of a DVD player having the ability to play the DVD. I understand that Europe has a particular format and the US has another type of format. Respective DVD players can not play both formats. What region/format is the US?

Region 1. Usually the Amazon listing will not only give the region number, but also a description: "Region 2 - UK and Europe only".

Thanks Steve. Shows region A/1. By your determination this should play on a US formatted DVD player?

The Blu Ray will work. However, $49.99 is a bit steep. There is a standard DVD claiming Region 1 for $15.00. Question is...is that correct as advertised by the vendor in Hong Kong? :hmmm:

For $15 a man of your means shouldn't even pause to hesitate :)

I hesitate because it is from Hong Kong. Not that anything is wrong with that. I have gotten things via Amazon from Hong Kong. The not knowing with certainty that the standard DVD is a Region 1 as claimed. Sometimes things are lost in translation as it were.

I know what you mean but I'd still take the chance if it's something you want to watch...my DVD player is region free.

That's a hard call to make. I did see a used copy of the Blu-Ray version for the same price, but it doesn't mention region at all. You'll just have to decide for yourself whether to take the chance or not. If it is, you'll save money. If not, it will cost you more.
On the other hand I don't buy everything from Amazon.
