The CIA has officially acknowledged the secret US test site known as Area 51, in a newly unclassified internal history of the U-2 spy plane programme.
The document obtained by a US university describes the 1955 acquisition of the Nevada site for testing of the secret spy plane.
It also explains the site's lingering association with UFOs and aliens.

Sure, it started out as the test facility for the U-2 but, has continued to grow long after the plane was retired from service. Skunkworks for Stealth planes etc, etc. Whether or not they are reverse engineering an alien craft there is still high speculation and a question that may never see an answer.

I stand corrected. It's only natural though. After all the money they poured into its development and initial deployment and the Groom Lake facility where it was tested. High five for the designers and builders of the day. Nothing is built to last this long anymore. Plus it took a near space shot to bring one down.:up: Not an easy feat in and of itself. Props to the Soviets on their aim.:huh:

I have always believed that Area 51 existed BUT there the comparison between me and the other believes makes a 180 degrees turn- I have never believed in UFO a.s.o

This is what I use to tell my friend Area 51 exist but it only used to test new airplane a.s.o no UFO; - Alien stuff.
