Old-Timer here. Loved Silent Hunter back in the DOS days (although it crashed out 3/4 the way through the campaign). The scuttlebutt was that SH4 does it justice in a Gato. Hoping this will cause enjoyment for a old squid and Golden Shellback (Equator 0/0 crossing in 1977)

HATED Silent Hunter II when I found out it was a U-Boat, and the software dealer wouldn't take it back. Didn't even look at SH3 because more bloody U-Boats same with SH5 and SH Online.

Hope some still do Multiplayer Co-Op Wolf Packs, to bad there weren't many gerry U-Boat in the Pacific, but the Japs will have to do :) :yeah:

Not sure about mods, I'm pretty versed in 3D Studio Max. I'll look into that later.

So any one who wants a Game Noob but not Sun Noob in a pack drop me a line.
(I'm in the New Zealand Time Zone, moved here 22 years ago from the USA, Liked the place when I was here on my first US Navy Westpac cruise in '77 so I came back)

Cheers

Welcome aboard :salute:

The head is just at the top of the stairs, but don't miss otherwise you'll create a waterfall.

Welcome aboard! Old timer here too; still playing SHII on WIN 98 AND Destroyer Command (for both sides of the argument) so u are not alone. Since u play SHI there's little new to learn-just more to mod with the newer games. Consult ADM FiFi's mod list and ask him any tech difficulties. Viel gluck, Herr Kapitan:arrgh!:
