View Full Version : Tenn. Judge Changes Infant's Name
I can't wait to hear the Far Right objecting to another judge ruling based on personal "prejudices":
http://news.yahoo.com/tenn-judge-changes-infants-name-messiah-215423538.html
It causes one to onder about all the children named 'Jesus'. The notion the name is a title also calls into question any child named 'King' or 'Prince', etc. Perhaps the stricture should be expanded to include 'Mary', 'Joseph', 'Mohammed', etc. ...

What you should be "waiting to hear" is a denouncement and objection by those on the "right" to this ruling. I for one think the ruling is idiocy, not supportable in any way by law, and the Magistrate who made this ruling should be excoriated and then tossed out of their office permanently.
Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with the reasoning, the fact is that in a Court, the Law must be the determining factor, and it clearly was not in this case. As such, the ruling should be immediately vacated and the Magistrate held accountable.
And many here will say I am pretty "Far Right" to boot....

What you should be doing is posting in the original thread rather than this repeat thread which has become a place for jokes.

I think the word messiah simply means anointed one or to anoint. Biblically speaking it could mean king David of Judah, Cyrus from Persia, a member of Cohanim or even a soldiers shield.

Well one meaning of the word messiah is;
messiah One who is anticipated as, regarded as, or professes to be a savior or liberator.
So a person could name their child that if they so desired in my opinion. For example having a child for most humans is a live changing experience for some it gives them a purpose in life that they never felt before so to them that child could a savior .I do not really care for the idea of telling people what they can or can not name their children.
The name molds to the person not the other way around.

Sure you've heard the old Indian joke {cleaned up a tad so Steve doesn't give me another infraction)
"On a rainy day, an little Indian from a tribe goes to his chief and asks, "Chief, how do you name all the people of our tribe?"
The Chief replies,"Oh, it quite easy. When baby born, I look first thing I see moving in wilderness, and name baby just that."
"How so?" asks the Indian.
"Well," replies the Chief, "if I see coyote running in field, I name baby Running Coyote, if I see bull sit, I name baby Sitting Bull."
"Oh, I see now" says the Indian.
Then the Chief turns to the Indian and says, "Well, why do you ask, Two Dogs Screwing (F....)?"
My Indian name is "Blue Balls Hanging"

AVG started it with Squatting Dog.:timeout: We all know what a dog does when it squats. That's just the shortened name for Squatting Dog Defecating.
The burning question is... What does Armistead' chief like to look at and is he a registered peeping Tomahawk?:hmmm:
