Didn't hear about this until just late yesterday. He was a true musician and highly respected by major musicians of all genres. Another great gone...

There are several I rather cringe at the possibilty of hearing of their passing. Chuck Berry immediately comes to mind; he, more than any other muscian, is responsible for the groundwork of what became rock and roll music and songwriting. I also would hate to hear of something happening to Buddy Guy, among others. If it is true a man is judged by the company he keeps, George Duke was a very great man, indeed. It should be noted many of the music stars and greats with whom George worked sought him him out specifically for his unique talents. If one is in a position of not having to hawk one's wares, it speaks volumes...
