Okay...Amazon order time.
The sysreqs call for a 128mb DirectX 9 compatible card
I have a 64mb card and DX 11 running. The CPU required is a 2 GHZ and I have a dual core 2.3 GHZ CPU. I'm running Windows 7 which should be good.
My question is, which game is better? I'm torn between Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Prypiat. Hell, I might just get both.
Any advice?

Just get them both. They're two excellent games.

Sounds like it's going to be a good birthday, then.

Oh yes...it will....
And this still isn't even the best part.

Well, considering I got 1 hour of flight instruction in a 2 seater sport plane... :D
EDIT: I think what I'll do is order one at a time so I'm not wasting too much money if they don't work

You'll be paying more overall for 2x shipping.

I'll be paying $3.99 each for shipping either way I do it. I figure why do that on stuff that won't work. I'll just order the one right now. :hmmm:

My question is why you didn't just buy them on Steam. You could be playing them today.

That would save on delivery charge too meaning you've have a few extra dollars to put towards another game!

You should try the Complete mods they fix most every bug in the game and tweak things but change nothing about the core game.Worth a look for sure.

I've heard a lot about those.
As of a few hours ago, Shadow of Chernobyl is on it's way. :woot: Can't wait.
If it works good I'll go ahead and order Call of Pripyat...and I'm on the fence about Clear Sky... :hmmm:

I'm playing Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. I have the Complete 2009 1.4 mod installed as well. Started the game this weekend. It is quite good. I'm having trouble turning it off for a while. :D The mutants are nasty looking. The story line is entertaining.

I've recently met the Snorks...
I had no trouble turning it off after several failed attempts. :rotfl2: It's a very fun game though.
