This must compare with those Japanese soldiers that used to be found on tiny islands long after the end of WWII.

A Vietnamese father and his son who fled to the jungle during the war four decades ago have been persuaded to leave, officials say.
Ho Van Lang and his 82-year-old father reportedly shunned contact with the outside world after three family members were killed by a landmine.

Three of them killed by a land mine? I'd tell the world to take a hike too.

they were healthy and appeared to be happy so leave them alone dang it, why force them to join and ultimately suffer in the screwed up world we live in today :nope:

they were much better off in blissful ignorance living by their own rules in the jungle

82 years old and living in a jungle for 40 years :hmmm: that tells me that the secret to longevity must be to avoid contact with most people.

They must have gotten a loud speaker and said....

"Come on out Ho Van Long the American Imperialists have gone and the Nike factory has offered you a job you can toil all day making shoes for American sports stars!"

It is what your dead relatives would want you to do.
