Does anyone know the fuel transfer rate the Kriegsmarine achieved using the astern fueling method? I found a document at uboatarchive concerning supply ships but there was no mention of hose diameter or transfer rate. At HyperWar, Gray Steel and Black Oil, it states the US found they could only transfer 16,000 gal/hr (~51 tons/hr) using that method. Thanks.
30-35 tonnes per hour.
13-20 tonnes on average.

Are those figures for refueling ships or submarines? I'm looking for ship refueling.
Ah...ok. You were looking for 'ships data' on uboatarchive...
makes perfect sense.
these figures are for uboats.

No, I wasn't. You misunderstood.
No, I wasn't. You misunderstood.
since I've got nothing better to do I'll take this bait.
Only a few people on this forum have a crystal ball and can read in the minds of those who make ambiguous posts.
Unfortunately I'm not one of them.
Your first post doesn't specify whether you are asking for naval ships or submarines.
Yet, it's kept in a typical 'US tone' - 'make a ridiculous post, blame others for 'misunderstanding it'.
No, I didn't misunderstand it. You didn't specify what you meant.
