Hi,

With latest New UIs, when 2 contacts on hydro but want my guy to follow not the nearest but the other one...how can i do that? (is it even possible?)

Sounds a noob question, but it's bothering me from long time, and is essential imo when beeing chased by 2 destroyers (or more) in real navigation! :yep:

Can you clarify my guy?

The hydro guy can only give information (and follow) the nearest ship. Not the other, if this other is further!
So when 2 destroyers are around, i only know what the nearest is doing, not the other (is he approaching too, or running away?)
Using real nav, we don't have contact lines to estimate the movment of ships...we can only rely on the hydro guy with his informations...but when more than one boat around, it seems impossible to me so far.
And estimate ship movment (closing/running away) by myself using hydro is still too hard...

the trick then appears to get evenly between the two destroyers so that the hydro has to give info on both. as a skilled ace you will employ the front and rear tube and proceed then to eliminate the problem rising to eight meters occasionally to lure in a overzealous escort to its doom. beware of Johnny Walker in a blackswan however, he doesn't fall for this. :arrgh!:

Sounds too dangerous for me Tubby! And if I see Gentleman Johhny in his Black Swan I dive dive dive and hope he doesn't find me.

Not actually; when necessary a destroyer is taken head on with steam eel and at 500 metres but not inside of 300 because then the eel will not arm. begin crash dive but not a course change. the dive is to prevent a collision with even a sinking destroyer which happened to me. turn 90 degrees if there are ash-can splashes or a release siren.
