This police officer was murdered in 1985 whist protecting firefighters during a period of rioting in London.

There have been double figure arrests over the years and two were sentenced but later released.

Now because of breakthroughs in forensic science, a man who was 16 year old at the time has been brought to justice.

A 44-year-old man has been charged with the murder of PC Keith Blakelock during riots in north London in 1985.
The 40-year-old Met police officer was attacked while on duty during the unrest at Broadwater Farm in Tottenham.
He was stabbed to death as he tried to protect firefighters as they tackled a blaze at a supermarket.

Glad they caught him! Some of these nutjobs think they will get away with it, but its not like Law Enforcement is going to forget about it. They'll catch him eventually.

Glad they got the bastard.
Glad they caught him!
Innocent till proven guilty isn't it?
Or in this case, going on track record, its innocent even after proven guilty due to falsification of evidence and obtaining confessions/statements through torture and abuse of the legal system.

Maybe they have got the right person, maybe the forensics will make their case, forensics can work, after all it was forensics that proved the Met had simply made up the evidence in the previous trials for this murder.
