Very lucky only ten are injured...could have been a lot worse.

Ten people were left with minor injuries after a plane's nose wheel collapsed when it landed at New York's LaGuardia airport, officials say.
Six of the casualties were taken to hospital after Southwest Airlines Flight 345 skidded off the runway, said airport general manager Tom Bosco.

What depresses me, is that I knew about this, and had pics on twitter 2 hours before the news channels even reported it.

I hope this is impending doom for the News channels. They are all utter garbage.

They had champagne in Boeing offices, I heard. No 787 this time. :D Oh lucky day!

On a sidenote, it seems the PMDG-737 killer application is close to release. How could it be any different - it is the PMDG-777.

Bear with my threat-hijacking please. I had an ice- cold beer two minutes ago, and in one rush - but with room temperatures of 30°C that currently feels like a very funny or a very stupid idea - depending on whether you are me or not.

Did I both just talk at the same time? Somehow I think I hear my own echo.

Beer and forum posting is fun for all!

Trust me, I got my experience in it.:D

It doesn't look like the Russians are having any better luck with their airliners either! They were doing a test flight of their newest airliner, and when it came in to land in Iceland, the landing gear didn't come down! So they had to belly that thing in also.

Why would Iceland let the Russians do test flights at their main airport?:88)

And this is why I will never fly.

It is true that any landing that you walk away from is a good one. I love flying. Had a couple of interesting flights which all add to the experience. Some of passengers can be annoying, and in cattle class not much legroom, but that does not stop me travelling. Much more risk of a car crash or getting mugged.

Flew home from Turkey a month ago and felt like a hamster in a cage for 4 1/2 hours...never using a certain UK tour operators airline again.

It is a wonder that more people do not get deep vein thrombosis (DVT). I always make sure that I move around and do some basic exercises, especially after sleeping. I have a really good pair of noise cancelling headphones which I wear to help me sleep, it is amazing how the engine noise disappears. They also make listening to in-flight movies easier as you do not need to turn the volume so high to hear over the engines and cabin sounds.

There wasn't even sufficient room to lower the table located in the rear of the seat in front of me and no I'm not particularly rotund :)
