No torpedo trail...???

I am using classic gas/steam torpedoes... as I like to see trace of my shot and follow my torpedo direction towards ship... but in a middle of patrol I lost my torpedo trace (white line on surface) and they all look like electric powered...

Any idea what went wrong ?
Is there any switching between different propelled mods ?
Did I pressed some wrong key ?

Are you sure it was TI torpedo? not TI FaTI? because I've noticed long ago that TI FatI has no trail.. at all..

check your loads, often you will have different types of torps and you may have just run out of steam torps
