Well when all else fails the old vice grips should shift it....of course technically they shouldn't be used for steering a vehicle But at least they wont come off:doh:
He kind of holds to the stereotype of people who live in Northfield though ,our answer to trailer trash...

Hmmm, VP Commadore, good choice.
There was a young fella die in Perth quite some years back, trying to outrun the cops while trying to steer a stolen car using a shifter and the attachment nut on the steering column...:nope:. I guess this bloke has one up on him though, he survived.
I'd like to know how he was getting any steering with two flat front tyres.:hmmm:

Might be a good idea to attach those mole grips to another part of his anatomy till he comes to his senses :)

I have heard of custom cars but I don't think this is what they meant. :88)

Insane in the membrain. Everybody knows that if you don't have a steering wheel, you use two pairs of vise grips in opposition at 10:00 and 2:00.:O:

The vise grips I see no problem with, the driving all doped up is the bad part.
Not everyone is wealthy enough to fix the car,:D
On a side note, as the destroyer of multiple cars, how do you break the steering wheel?
What in the hell were they doing in that car, to break the steering wheel to begin with?

Maybe if they save that dope money they can fix the car. Sure, throw logic in their face.

After-market steering locks; they were the rage a few years back. They were a key activated extendible rod with oposing hooks that prevented the perp from turning the wheel.
Trouble was all you had to do to circumvent was remove the steering wheel....and then find another way to steer the car. Went on quite a bit.

Reminds me of about ten years back....I took the car in for a service before going to a conference in Manchester. The garage was late in finishing the work so I told them to leave the car on the forecourt and I'd pick it up on my way to Manchester using my spare set of keys.
Picked the car up as planned and upon leaving the car in my allocated parking space I put the wheel clamp on then almost immediately realised my spare set of car keys didn't include a spare wheel clamp key :/\\!!
Cost me £120 to have the AA come out and sort it

What frightens me the most is having the steering on the wrong side of the car... :D

I was once honoured with an army vehicle when being a liaison officer at the 1st Royal Anglian Regiment in Salisbury plains. I was glad to have a couple of driving lessons first.
"If you are going to turn around in a roundabout..." :88)
After that, I was trying hard to enter a roundabout in Germany YOUR way.
