I have had SH 5 for about a year now but have never played it, mainly because it didnt run get on my pc, which surprised me and I havent been in a rush as I prefer US fleetboats in PTO, so SH 4 with TMO RSRD, I am happy. However, with time having passed, I assume some excellent work has been done to make SH 5 a great sim, SH 4 stock was pretty rough but is a great sim now.I am considering getting a new PC soon.Honestly, what would any of you say the state of SH 5 with mods are? I like difficulty and realism.
Are there mods like RSRD for SH 5 that puts in historical traffic patterns? Unrealistic gamey things modded out? Stability? etc Worth the time and effort?
Trevally.

Yes, it is called Open Horizons II and you should know it already, as not too long ago it was even reviewed in the homepage of this website :03:

There are so many excellent mods available for SH5 that it is almost impossible to review them all here. Some good threads (with links to the most wanted mods) to start from:

Thanks:arrgh!:
...it would appear that some have little or no problems with SH5 after the mod installs.
it would also appear that that some if not a lot, including myself, struggle with it for various reasons - time and patience are two I can think of.
the best thing to do is give it a go with whatever mods are suggested by those who have made them and experimented with them. then you will know. I salute the modders here at SH5, by the way! :salute:
in time all will settle down, I believe, and it will run smoothly for the majority and it will be a great sim with a long life in front of it.
I'm looking forward to this day. I have the disc in a box waiting, just don't have the time and patience any more to experiment and finally get it right.
