Went looking through my old flash drive files and found Werner's sonar-only attack video tutorial. I may also have his radar-only attack tutorial video (before youtube removed the sound), but haven't found it yet. Even if I cannot find it (only a couple more drives to search through) the principles in the sonar-only video apply quite well to radar only.

With the moderators permission, and if there is interest, I will upload it.

(Couldn't find it in downloads and the other links I could find are dead)

Werner's videos and Rockin' Robbin's tutorials/vids were an immense help to me when I first started with SHIV.:salute::up:

Shoot, it cut the video at 10 minutes. I'll try to fix that.

Anyway, Werner has shown how to get position, course, and speed using sonar only.

For sonar only, I listen to sonar man and when I judge the target to be a degree or two before 0 (or 180, if a stern shot), I fire one, one on the firing bearing, and one a degree or two after.

Would love to see the rest of that. That video helped immensely back in the day.
